As the title says, basically in this post i’ll be listing the free website performance test service that i often use to test this site for performance (or other site performance). And obviously if i say free, that mean it is free without registration needed in order to use their service unless you want to go with higher plan with some of the service listed here that will cost you some money of course
Anyway here’s the list of free web page test service
Webpagetest try to simulate on how fast your site loaded using Internet Explorer 7/8 from several location from US to China (although it’d be better in my opinion if they also add support for other browser such as Firefox, Safari or Google Chrome) and at the same time also capture on how your site looks like to Internet Explorer users
Other than that if you prefer to see how fast your site loaded, you can also choose to record a video of your site being loaded. So far this is the only service i know that offer you to record a video of your site being loaded and also give you a detailed checklist about every object found on your site from Keep-Alive to ETag
Obviously by now you should know that site speed is a factor on Google Search results as stated by the Google Websearch team recently. And here’s what they say about this
Like us, our users place a lot of value in speed — that’s why we’ve decided to take site speed into account in our search rankings. We use a variety of sources to determine the speed of a site relative to other sites.
Although they also said that currently fewer than 1% of search queries are affected by your site speed and doesn’t carry as much weight as page relevance, and beside site speed only applies to visitors searching using Google.com
Because for me since 1% can still be considered as number despite small, i’ve tried my best to optimize this blog further by applying various wordpress optimization technique to this blog so it can be loaded much faster to this blog visitors
So i just found this nice clip from Youtube yesterday while i was looking for Animetal Clip but later i ended up to Suzumiya Haruhi because there’s no new animetal clip over at youtube website (i guess i’ve downloaded almost every animetal video clip from youtube). Anyway here’s what the video looks like (seriously, this guy named Ginjineko is just amazing)
I just read this yesterday (based on my local time of course), about an ISP in China automatically redirecting search query that goes into Google Blogsearch, Live.com and Yahoo into their own local search engine named Baidu.
So you just finished registering your own domain name for the first time ever, and you got yourself a good web hosting company and already created / use some custom themes for your website. But you’re confused on what you should do next in order to get your website listed on various search engines and in the end you’ll get some nice traffic from those search engines ? or even better you could make money from it ?
Wondering why you shouldn’t trust any screenshot (note: screenshot is not a photo of you with your check of course) that shows you a screenshot about someone else earning report (in this case online income report) … such as from their affiliate earnings report, adsense report, etc ? The answer is simply because they can always create a fake screenshot about their online earning report
Want to see an example? Here’s what a perfect adsense report look like
I guess you’ve already heard about the new tags feature (basically it’s just the same as site categories) that is built into the core of WordPress 2.3. But now if you’re wondering does the new tags function can really give you some benefit from Search Engine and your site visitors point of view ? The answer of course is depend on your site visitors itself and whether you care about duplicate content or not, so it’s up to you to decide it ;)
I just noticed today that paypal now allowed Indonesian paypal users to receive money using their paypal account (previously Paypal can only be used to send money only)
While this can be considered as good news especially to those who’s participating in online business (read: making money online), but if it’s for me … i’m still not sure if i can use that withdraw function yet
AdSense for Mobile is intended for AdSense partners who have created websites specifically for mobile browsers, and who want to monetize their mobile content via contextual advertising. Like Google’s other AdSense products, mobile text ads run on an auction model. The system automatically reviews the content of publishers’ mobile websites and delivers text ads that are relevant to the websites’ audience and content. Publishers earn money whenever mobile users click on the ads.
