11 Weeks and 1 day later …

After i decided to quit smoking (tobacco obviously because that’s the only thing i smoke). I must say that, so far the only thing noticeable after i stopped smoking is … it feels that i can breathe more air while at the same time i feel tightness in my chest and throat and i feels like i’m having shortness of breath (strange isn’t it?)

Anyway for the past 2 months, what i’ve been doing is basically consist of going back to see a doctor again and again from:

  1. Going to the ER Room because i’m having breathing difficulties and this is when i decided to stop smoking. And the ER room doctor said that (after looking at the EKG/ECG result and asking me whether i have gastro problem) it was caused by GERD
  2. Then go to a Pulmonologists (just to make sure that the breathing difficulties is caused by GERD, although he didn’t ask for X-Ray)
  3. And then staying in the hospital for about 3 / 4 days due to infection
  4. Then go to an Internist for a check-up a few days after i returned from the hospital
  5. Then to a Dermatologist
  6. And back to Internist once again
  7. And then goes to a Dermatologist for about 3 times and next week i’m going to go see the Dermatologist once again so make it 5

Now if only money grows on trees …

p.s I was diagnosed with GERD in 2009 (long before this)

  1. However, a lot of folks hardly ever come across a long term solution regarding techniques for losing weight.

Sometimes when you are dehydrated you compensate by eating when really your body just needs water.
It could be difficult for some that relay on the benefit or grabbing
a quick bite say at lunch.

  2. A motivating discussion is worth comment. I do believe that
you need to write more on this subject matter, it might not
be a taboo matter but typically folks don’t discuss these topics.
    To the next! Cheers!!

  3. Hi there! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could
locate a captcha plugin for my comment form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having difficulty finding one?
    Thanks a lot!

  4. That sucks man. I went to the ER after passing out one night. Sat in the ER until 5 am then the Doctor came in and said, “There is nothing wrong with you and we have to release you.” I am thinking to myself, so I just randomly pass out and you guys cant tell me anything? Well I did my own research, then confirmed it with my main Dr. A muscle in my stomach, when the body is stressed, clenches around a blood vessel and shunts the blood to my brain. This is the same kinda thing that happens when you go into shock. Only explanation, anxiety, which I have known about for 5 years now.

Hope you can work through your pain!

    1. Thank you very much Tyreck. In my case the doctor always said that it is related to the GERD and never said anything about anxiety (not sure if stress and anxiety is the same thing) but the doctor at the ER room said that perhaps the breathing difficulties which was caused by GERD is because i’m having stress at that time

  5. Well damn man, good for you. Glad you stopped using those cancer sticks. But hopefully you’ll still be okay with your breathing, that sounds pretty sketchy.

    1. Thanks Kyle and i think i keep getting better everyday and oh … i send you an email in case you didn’t notice ;)
