Reaper-X UR1 Arcane-Fire for WoW Client (2.4.3)

Here it is! The Reaper-X customized MaNGOS release UR1 "Arcane-Fire" is now available. UR1 is also a raw copy and if you look below you will find that we will be adding updates as we go (make sure that when you apply updates, you apply them in order as listed)! A changelog and what revs Arcane-Fire are also below uses!
NOTE: Arcane-Fire no longer supports PSDB!!!

Installed yesterday on a test PC (not on live server), using fresh install.
Seems to go smootly, no errors after Oathman’s Bug Fix 1.

ok, can anyone please explain the patch requirements for the client so we don’t get all of these errors.
Call me the n00b from hell, but I am not quite understanding it.
Colt45, i really need your help. Tomorrow is my last day of summer. so i need this working by tonight.
My issue is I can get all the way up to right after picking the realm. then it gets stuck in a loop saying “Logging on to Game Server” then it just opens up the list of realms. (MaNGOS being the only one) I have changed my realmlist.wtf to:
set realmlist 65.12.178.100
AND
set realmlist 127.0.0.1
Both giving me the same outcome.
Also, i have medaled with the realmd.conf to say 65.12.178.100 and also the 127.0.0.1.
Same goes for ScriptDev2.conf and mangosd.conf.
Can you please help me? If you dont know the settings they should be, can you do a filefront or something with everything exept the rather large game. and maps, vmaps, and so on.

I’ve been reading your posts regarding dual Realmd (2+ servers) and I seem to have lost some in the translations lol can you perhaps repost it using a newer version ??
ok. my realmlist.wtf says:
set realmlist 65.12…(my ip)
and its been like that. Also, my realmd.conf says the whole 65.12…(my ip);3306;root;Pass deal.
and it still gets stuck at Logging into game server.

It means you patched your WoW to the 2.4.3 client.
This is where I am. According to another post on in the forums you need to “unpatch” your WoW and then google the update to where you need to be.
to unpatch your WoW
Step 1. Go into the “Data” folder in your World of Warcraft directory.
Step 2. Delete the file “patch.mpq”.
Step 3. Open the “repair” in your World of Warcraft directory.
If anyone could help us out the the updates to get wow back where we need it, it would be appriciated.

sorry…let me clarify… the address after the set realmlist should be the address of your wow server. If it’s on the same machine as the one you’re playing from, it should be 127.0.0.1 Or if your server is on another machine on your network then enter it’s IP there.
The one I gave in the above example is if it’s a server that’s on the internet.

The file that you’re looking for should be called realmlist.wtf It’s in the “root” of your WoW install folder IF and only IF you’ve connected to a wow server before. It’s not there upon a fresh install. Just create a normal text file and change it’s name to the one you’re looking for then edit it in notepad or wordpad to point to the server you wish to connect to.
The line would look similar to this:
set realmlist your.gameserver.com

ok. my new issue is connecting to game server. i have looked for this realmd.realmlist and i think you are all fooling me because i cannot find it.
ok. i did everything. set up an account, and stuff, but when i logged in it said “Unable to connect” why?? i was so close! :’(
ok. it worked! but i got the creature error. but i have the bug fix. i will run that and report back!
i just reinstalled MySQL and all that jazz. Im currently on the matrix looking stuff. So i will see if it works after that and report back here and give my results. I have had a server before. It was on an older computer and i used navicat. navicat is the biggest pain in the ass, but it worked after 2 weeks. so i hope this wont take that long.

once i roll back I am assume I will need to re-extract the dbc files

Next damn issue. I get this error –

when I run the mongosd.exe file I get a map error
c:\data/maps/0004331.map in non-compatible version
I extracted the maps over again and same result.
Any clues?
Ok, I am a n00b to the reaper version of the server. I d/l 6245 and did a complete install, however, when I run reaper-x-mangos.bat there is no option to config my server. Am I missing something here?
yes. i even re installed WoW and TBC, patched it up to 2.4.3 and still i get errors.

@Jay the answer for which you seek you have already answered it yourself… confused yet? yeah i am too, the default is Mangos dude, but Colt forgot to include it in the distro i think, or he may have updated it cuz i passed over a copy of the code that has GM Island and ORG and SW vendors which i spent blood sweat and tears (not really) fixing to work with 2.4.3, look for something called vendors.sql if you’ve got it cool, turn to page 40 and dont read on, if not turn to page 153 and drop me a mail my email addy should be in one of the previous posts and i’ll drop a copy with some really hard instructions on how to get it to work. But it might not be for a few cuz i need sleep.
Newb question, I’m new at this and all…but I’m trying to install the GM island vendors, and I can’t remember what the MaNGOS/World db name…
is there a default or anything?

I did BUgFix1 and still nothing.
Try using the Bugfix, maybe it works. At least it worked for me.
Hey, ok. My MaNGOSD.exe is crazy.
It came up with errors:
table “character.caracter” does not exist
table “character.guild_bank_item” does not exist.
Loading MaNGOS strings …

Hey guys just wanted to give you an update on the mount problem, I’ve officially given up I ran into a problem where i change the price and lvl and required lvl of the mount and it still says you need to be level 40, i asked on the mangos forum if anyone knew where else it pulls the info from and tbh they are about as useful as a sexually transmitted disease, i was told “i’m sorry we dont support repacks” to which i replied i dont want support on the repack i just need to know where else it pulls the info from, to which i was told “i’m sorry we dont support repacks” so i’m incredibly pee’d off and as far as i’m concerned they are a complete waste of space.
Applied the fix, Kael’thas still crashes server on Gravity Lapse.
And I thought he couldn’t get any more evil…
The player disconnecting bug is back, when I log onto my server, everyone connected gets kicked!

I have a minor problem. Why are some of the mobs/NPCs moving so fast? I’m sorry if this question has been already asked/answered.
All working, except i got no mobs in heroic dungeons.
I think i got it fixed; did a fresh install, added my old chars, applied the fix and added two column to the characters table: Death_expire_timer and Dungeon_difficulty, now checking for bugs.
Well… that didnt work, now all my chars are gone again. I regret applying this, since reverting wow to 2.4.2 is a pain due to errors related to credits.html

Right. Major problem: I did a fresh install with the fixed characters.sql; then, i imported my old characters; then i realized i forgot to run the fix, so i did. Now, when i log in, i can see all my chars, but when i try to play i get disconnected when its done loading: “query ERROR: Unknown column ‘death_expire_time’ in ‘field list’
Ill try reimporting my chars again, ill check back if it doesnt work.
Nice info about riding skills ,but do you have aprentice riding at lvl 30 in Arcane client? Arcane realese is very nice,mostly I only miss don t know how could I set aprentice riding at lvl 30,so any tips I would happy hear pls :)

To learn the Apprentice riding skill it costs 35gold, and then and an additional 10gold for the mount.
There are quite a few variations in costs depending on many different things.
Have a look at http://www.wowwiki.com/Mount which should give you all the info you need.
Look forward for a fix.

Need someone to help me with something, i’m modifying the code to take account for the mount changes, but i’ve a problem I have no idea what the mount cost should be cuz i dont play retail wow anymore i closed my account down, while changing the cost for some of the mounts to 30g which i was told from a mate that was the price of all the mounts now i noticed that a couple were set lower than that to begin with, would some kind soul who still plays retail mind checking the prices of the mounts please, then i can finish off and see about getting this out to ppl.
