Here it is! The Reaper-X customized MaNGOS release UR1 "Arcane-Fire" is now available. UR1 is also a raw copy and if you look below you will find that we will be adding updates as we go (make sure that when you apply updates, you apply them in order as listed)! A changelog and what revs Arcane-Fire are also below uses!
NOTE: Arcane-Fire no longer supports PSDB!!!

To anyone having issues with characters not showing up after creation, here is a quick and dirty fix:
I noticed in the server log a failed SQL insert. I used navicat to create two new fields in the characters.characters table, dungeon_difficulty and death_expire_time.
I did a fresh install from 59xx release, so I’m guessing these didn’t get fixed.
It appears to work fine if you add these two fields in as text values. You can do this by right clicking the table in navicat, selecting design view, right clicking, and inserting.

Hi, great job on this update!
No major issues at the moment, but I am having the problem a few others mentioned with the ‘Apprentice’ mounts still only available for lvl 40+ and also the cost still unchanged.
Any advice on how to fix this will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hey guys great job on the new server for 2.4.3 it rocks I went in to it my self and tweeked it a bit for my liking but other than that it seems sound as a rock so far. I been running it for a few days now and I haven’t had a crash yet. My server reached 30 users on just the 2.4.3 version I guess they liked it. Ok, new issue. I have properly configered my ports…according to the site, both ports are accepting just fine. so the outside connection might be strictly connected to him using vista.
however, now i have a new problem. never had this before.
I connect, log in, choose my character. it looks like it is loading, than says disconnection from server and kicks me back to login.
i didn’t upgrade from 6245, but did a fresh install. i don’t remember importing the accounts and characters, but they were there.
can some1 please tell me what i did wrong?

When ad failed on me, i simply used the ‘map_extract’ from the last version. worked like a charm…once i pointed my datadir to the right place…lol.
those of you out there who use public (playing from work, allowing others on your non-lan server) please refer to comment 116…i need help. ty.

actually mate, thinking on, i dont have many users atm on my server, i let a mate and his guild on and they dont use it much atm, wanna test out my vendors? send me an email if you do and i’ll send them, got no errors on my server btw k_hanby@hotmail.com

Weiss935 has his own that theres a link to download custom vendors so if you scroll up you can download them, i’ve sent some to Colt45 to add in, but i’m not sure if they are now, hey ho, on mine i’ve got vendors in SW / Org and Gm island, which all appear to be working as intended with no errors on startup, so they’ll be available soonish i’m guessing.
After reinstalling my SQL database its all working fine, and letting me join without kicking everyone else. I just need to add my custom stuff again.
Any news on a working vendor pack yet? or should I just start making my own again :(
i got it working now,all i did was reinstall mysql and set it up all over agian and it worked.now i can play 2.4.3 =).thanks again for the work you put into this.
I have tried to extract only the ad.exe file to WOW directory and once i run the ad.exe files, there is a error message box below screenshots:-

Last time i thought it was suppose to have ad.exe and extract-map.bat files but new Arcane pack only have ad.exe
I hope someone could help me on this.

Personally Chris i’d try everything b4 you’ve added any of the custom stuff and added your old character information, because if it works ok it would point to something corrupt.

I might just need to try that. Thanks for the help, I cant think of anything else to do myself. I probably killed the database when installing my old custom armor and vendors etc. I had a bunch of errors.
its a good techneque used it a few times myself ;-)
but anyway best thing i can suggest is take your server offline, uninstall mysql delete the folder from program files, and reinstall, once thats done create 2 user one for you one for a mate and see what happens.. best i can suggest perhaps one of the others can come up with something else :-/

the old Kinetic maintenance?
I did have a few connection problems with my router earlier, and reset it, but after that I set it back up the exact same way as before with the correct ports forwarded, dmz enabled and the firewall disabled. Maybe I should try the “Hammer” trick

no worries dude, my gut reaction would have been some the char data you imported for your account was corrupt…. but ok… anything changed in the last few hours? and have you tried my personal favourite (being a IT tech) switching it off and on again?

Hey there Bav, thanks for the fast reply. It kicks me no matter what account I try to use and no, the char info from the previous patch wasnt updated. The strange thing is, it was working fine a few hours ago! :(

Heya Bud, couple of questions for you, if you log in as another account does it do it then? and did you reimport character and account info when you reinstalled?
Hey there guys, thanks again for a new update, its all working great for me, except one thing, when I connect to my own server, I kick all the other players off! It’s a bit of a pain and I can’t figure out what I changed since the last patch (I could connect without any problems before I updated). If anyone has a solution to this problem, I would really love to hear it!
So to sum it up, people can connect to my server online, and everything is stable for them until I connect, then they all get kicked and cant log back on. I can enter the server fine, but at this point, everyone is lagged and awaiting the DC. I done a fresh sql install with this patch.
any updates on wotlk yet becasue its been a while since any site admin or moderator has touched it or answered any questions

So, small question: Is this version stable+working properly?
im having trouble making characters i have my server up, i go into my realm and when make a guy it doesnt show up in my list. it shows up in my char.log file that i have guys made so idk what im doing wrong any help would make my day.and thank you for your hard work.
i swear every release there’s at least 200ppl that never change the pw but post, what is wrong.
sigh, either way still patiently waiting for a wotlk reaper server, the ones i play on are temporary

i downloaded firanes spawns in gm island for patch 2.4.2 and modified a bit in it so them work in 2.4.3 now! i’m gonna upload them now so the link is coming soon.

Hi all, i got a problem updating to UR1 arcane for 2.4.3
First of all, I tried to copy the dbc and vmaps tools named “ad.exe” to the WOW folder as usual and when is showing extracting for a few secs, an error comes out saying “Ms C++ debug assertion failure and quite a long file names and unable to extract the files anymore. As i know that the extract map should basically have 2 files , ad.exe and extract-map.bat->this file is missing in the arcane pack.
Could anyone please explain to me how to solve this issues or there is something im doing wrong. Thanks in advance.
I want to appologize in advance if this is listed somewhere. I did search for it, but the answer seemed to consistantly elude me.
I can’t seem to get this to work over public. I went to No-IP, set everything up, but when it comes to connecting, externally, no one can connect. They say they can log in, but it won’t connect to the server on their side. As far as i recall, everything is setup up accordingly and i can access it from the host computer…
please help…

Basically dude heres what happened when it read that line it said IP address… check….. port…… check….. username… password…… check…. look in mangos db for realm info………. OMG OMG
to some progs something like that wouldn’t matter cuz it would skip to the next database and check that, but it doesn’t seem clever enough to say ok dude so its not here we’ll skip to the next.
Oh and between me and you and no one else.. i made the same mistake when i first setup a mangos server ;-)

I instaled fine new Arcane-Fire and seems all work fine,but anyone noticed that aprentice riding should be at lvl 30,NPC still offering only at lvl 40?? so somebody could tell me if this happening on your server too or no pls?

ad.exe dosnt work for me either and im on xp
Anywhere we can go to DL the 2.4.3 maps and dbs? I’m still having problems with ad.exe, it hates Vista or something.

Well, I got passed the character creation problem by doing a fresh install of the 6245 release, and then upgrading to Arcane-Fire. I haven’t had any problems other than that, Thanks for the new release!!! O.o now I can save the friends list instead of it disappearing every time I log out. Hope that vendor pack is updated soon, I really don’t want to make my own lol.
Just a quick question, when I load Mangos it shows Acid Rev 17 not Rev 18, is there any reason for this or am I missing something.
because Navicat also works very well?
