I only use Trinity so I do not know about Mangos. Trinity comes in 3 different flavorless,

Expansion Trinity Version
Classic TrinityZero : 1.12.1
Burning Crusade TrinityCore : 2.4.3
Wrath of the lich king TrinityCore2 : 3.1.3

If you're going to stay with Burning Crusade you will need to upgrade 2.4.3. you can find all the information you need at trinitycore.org. At the top right are the links to download the emulators. If you create an account you can search the forum to find out how to install Trinity Core.

The simplest way would be to use Oatman repack. Just follow the instructions given and it should work. Oatman repacked is slightly more stable then this repack.

http://www.reaper-x.com/2008/12/23/reaper-x-trinitymangos-rev-1-243-world-of-warcraft/

You can download the 2.4.3 patch from here
http://www.gamershell.com/download_29148.shtml

If you need any more help just leave a comment, I hope that you can get it working. If you do please tell me I would like to know.

Excellent Old Man thanks for the heads up. I was unaware that I needed to compile anything. I simply followed the steps to set up SQL and ran the .bat according the the Mangos set-up steps. I'll head to TrinityCore when I get home today and try to re-work out the kinks.

A follow-up question would be can I keep the WoW Verserion 2.4.2 or does TrinityCore support a more recent patch that I should update to? If I have to I'll go up a few more patches but I'm trying to keep it in the general 2.4.2 area. Thanks again!

What I would do is start allover again. This repack is out of date. Go to this website and you can find the real server, but you need to compile it your self. This good side to this is that the Trinity Team updates 2.4.2 almost everyday.

dev . trinitycore.org/trinitycore/

In the top right there is a link to download it (Get Sources)

This link is how to compile a sever.

youtube . com/watch?v=PINd8wtodkA

If you do not get this just tell me and I will create a new repack for 2.4.2

Hiya,

Throwing this out to anyone that can lend an idea or two.

I set up my WoW server over the weekend (locally 127...) and was able to get everything set up and running well (Ex: Made Account, created character, max'd her out ect.)

I ran myself through a few higher end instances in both classic and TBC instances and I noticed the bosses are unscripted. I had a similar issue with earlier release (WoW 2.2 I believe) where the mobs were auto-attacking and not casting. I'm up-to-date with the information on THIS page (Currently running 2.4.2 : Reaper Mangos 6245 SD2 r474 with Unified DB) and it managed to allow mobs their scripts. Which is all fine and dandy that now mobs will pat, they will cast spells where required, and will properly aggro thanks to the working Vmaps.

However the issue comes back to the bosses not containing any scripting. No Voice emotes on pulls, nothing but auto-attacks, and for some places like Magister's Terrace After the first boss is downed the door doesn't open.

I check this forum regularly hoping someone else is having the same issue I am, and even though newer releases of WoW are out and more frequently viewed I'm rather content with playing Version 2.4.2, any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm sure its a simple matter of updating or re-running an installation step to ensure ALL scripting kicks in, So close to a perfect Reaper Server yet the most important element is unscripted.

Thanks Reaper fans!

hi guys, first of all great job.
i like all in one packages :)

i have a question.

im trying to get my server online.
i have set my server on dmz so all ports are open to it.

but when i try to connect to my server from somewhere else its says cannot connect.
this is what i have done:

realmlist has this: set realmlist 2hard4wow.no-ip.org

and the server has all the mysql and ip bind to it as well but i still cannot connect to the server. not even when im on the same lan.

but when i change the realmlist to: set realmlist 192.168.1.114 (server ip)
it then works.

why cant i get it online? if you need server configs i could mail it.
if someone succesfully got his server online please let me know what you have done and maybe show some configs.

Thnx in advance.

Well, got the server up and running and am very impressed on how much of the game is playable!! good work to everybody who made this possible. For the most part the game runs fine with just minor little glitches here and there.

While most of the glitches i have seen are minor (like mobs walking through walls, or appearing above or imbedded in the ground) I have also run into 1 annoying glitch and 1 appears to be broken quest.

1. For ranged mobs, if I attack them first, they run up on me and attack me as a melee mob would, trouble is, there seems to be a disconnect between the client and server for these types of mobs, when the mob dies I cannot loot it where it fell, I must find where it would have been had it been attacking me ranged. This glitch only happens if I attack the ranged mob first, If I agro them and then let them fire first, then they stay where they are and work correctly.

2. For the night elf, crown of the earth quest. on the one you have to fill the Tourmaline Phial at the Pools of Arlithrien, It will not let me fill the Phial, I have tried from many places in and around the moonwell but it keeps telling me that I need the moonwell to fulfill the quest.

Is there any to finish this quest?? either from a location that will meet the requirements or else a way that I can set something in the database (or GM command) that will allow me to mark the quest as completed?

Any help with the above issues would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks again for making this fantastic server available!!!
