Reaper-X Wrath of the Lich King! Should Reaper-X.com Support It?

Hey Everyone,
This is Oatman here and I am wondering if the community would be interested on Wrath of the Lich King? I’ve done some research and I believe that under some work I could get a MaNGOS WotLK 3.0.1 Revision Released. So you all could try out the new Death Knight class and be able to explore the new continent of Northrend.
Yes this would take some work, but I’d be more than willing to work on a Reaper-X WotLK Beta MaNGOS Revision if enough of the community wants this to happen.
List of What Reaper-X WotLK Alpha Would Contain:
- Full Support for Client 3.0.1 Beta.
- Death Knight Support
- Level to 80 with new armor.
- 3.0.1 Map Extractor
- Northrend Teleporting Zones.
If you guys as a community would be interested in such a release please post your comments below and if enough of the community is interested and if Reaper himself gives me the go ahead I’ll get right on it!

Considering that most of the work would already be done when WotLK is officially released, I say it's a great idea. Thumbs up from me :)
Yes! Please, please, please, please! I started with ReaperX first. I'm familiar with AC Web and Silverlight. There are one click installs out there for server emus & etc but this is the one I like most. I find myself checking this page once a week at the very, very least. Sometimes its several times a day ^^.

Well... lol Its very buggy. I mean obviously the old areas will be just like the MaNGOS Releases but when you get to the new areas like Northrend and the new harbor in stormwind its buggy to the point where you can fall through the map in alot of places. Not that its a big deal because obviously its Alpha and not even beta yet. So its definately not very stable in the new areas but if you explore anything before 3.0.1 then its very stable and runs perfectly.

If you've ever been on a real blizzard developement server they always have a "B" for Blizzard Icon that lets you contact them and submit feedback/errors and glitches you find in the game.
why run this? unless you are gunna be building up the patchs for mangos cuz the guy who was working on it after Tom stopped at 1.9 and kept the rest private at least to my knowledge, but it is still pretty cool
That. . . would be awesome! Also, WotLK will be entering beta relatively soon, as they've opened sign-ups. Many of those "buggy" places won't be buggy for too much longer as they're expecting a huge client patch update. I'm not sure how easy the beta client will be to get, though. I say hell yes, and I'd be indebted (again. . . ) if you did this!

Yes that is ok, it makes its own new folder. IT basically copies it from the origional game and puts it in a new folder instead of overwriting your origional. So your ok.
Would love to see it. You guys consistently do a fantastic job and I'm sure this effort would be nothing less.

Blizzard seems to have caught wind of the download and bricked the d/l the link works fine to download the installer but blizzard has bricked it from the http: that it uses to download even trying to download p2p style it still doesnt work which to me seems that either Beta is coming out Or perhaps they have closed downloads for that particular client - The Heros of EverQuest beta only worked for 2 weeks and still closed with many repeatable bugs

why do you guys want to download the client so bad right now? i mean, there isnt one good WotLK server out yet. So why bother until oatman here brings out the server? then you can worry about downloading the client, im sure by then there should be a new or better way to get the client. so in the mean time, just wait until oatman gets a repack out.. simple enough?

My two cents... correct me if I'm wrong.
Just to clarify, this doesn't have any MangOS/ScriptDev2/UDB/ACID support, so basically all you'd have would be open zones that you could run around in. No mobs, no quests, no items, no skills.
Deathknight would be playable but useless, as the deathknight skills wouldn't do anything (not coded yet).
Well i found server pack witch had few mobs in outlands and deathknight wich worked guite ok..

No they will be coded so some npcs will be there and some abilities will be implemented.

Shadow, after doing some tests on your network your connection is too slow for a WoW Server. I pulled up about a 5MB Cable Connection from Waco Texas using RoadRunner High Speed. You server specs rock but we need a 100MB cable for running a wow server at bare minimum. i really like your offer but its sadly too slow to host a big server. Maybe you can work for me and colt on our server in teh future because you seem pretty smart to have set all this up.

First of all, this would be great if you could create a wotlk pack.
A question though:
Since you said 'blizz popped the beta on me' does this mean that we would get a beta release? or still the alpha, As this could mean the difference between being able to play the game almost properly to falling through the map :P.
Either way, i'm really looking forward to whatever you come up with on wotlk, any idea of how long :P?

Hey um im installing now with the installer.exe but every thing including the .exe's and stuff have a .temp file, is this normal, will this be fixed after its fully installed? please let me know i don't want to sit through a big installation for nothing
