Reaper-X Wrath of the Lich King! Should Reaper-X.com Support It?

Hey Everyone,

This is Oatman here and I am wondering if the community would be interested on Wrath of the Lich King? I’ve done some research and I believe that under some work I could get a MaNGOS WotLK 3.0.1 Revision Released. So you all could try out the new Death Knight class and be able to explore the new continent of Northrend.

Yes this would take some work, but I’d be more than willing to work on a Reaper-X WotLK Beta MaNGOS Revision if enough of the community wants this to happen.

List of What Reaper-X WotLK Alpha Would Contain:

Full Support for Client 3.0.1 Beta.
Death Knight Support
Level to 80 with new armor.
3.0.1 Map Extractor
Northrend Teleporting Zones.

If you guys as a community would be interested in such a release please post your comments below and if enough of the community is interested and if Reaper himself gives me the go ahead I’ll get right on it!

Don’t worry I am still working on it. Its on its way just be patient.

I have two options.

#1 Releasing it just able to run it with no spawns

#2 60% accurate blizz like spwns of northrend.

One takes more time then the other. What do you guys want me to release?

I have a friend in VietNam says his internet connection rocks at near cable speeds. He spends half his free time watching youtube and such. Sorry to hear your net bandwidth in the south pacific isnt cutting it Reaper. =( Thanks for even thinking about doing a three day download just for us =)

lol akow it doesn’t take me 3 days, it takes reaper 3 days because his international connection isn’t good. if there were to be some one who lived in europe then he could download it there if they uploaded it but no i install in about 4 hours

I think it’s safe to say we all would LOVE to have such a major addition to the game I’ve been drooling (yes fanboyishly :D) over this new expantion from day one! as far as who or how I think everyone should thank the mangos crew for thier efforts I know I do!

It would be great to get a beta client server up and be able to test a few things before it hits live, (next 3 months to 6 years knowning bliz).

ok this post hasn’t been touched by oatman, colt45 or reaper forever. no questions have been answered no updates on this release NOTHING AT ALL! and ive been with reaper-x for a long time and this is the first time i might say i think he if bluffing. it just so “Happened” that blizzard released beta on the last release date for alpha server. so im sad to say im losing my trust =[. please prove me wrong oatman, please because i was really looking forward to this =[

I wish i could download the beta client and create the repack by myself, but since it is impossible for me to download such large file then the only person who can do this is Oatman or Colt (since they live in US im sure its easy for them to download large file compared to me) so the only person who can create this is Oatman or Colt :(

and as a side note downloading 2GB file would take more than 3 days for me (non stop, and if it’s not corrupted of course) unless there’s a mirror here (because my international connection sucks)

@ Saki – More then likely when its released it will be seperate from 2.4.X as Wotlk is in beta and requires a different ad.exe and dbc

I just have a quick question about this. Will it be required to upgrade to version 2.4.3 before you can upgrade to the WOTLK release? Only reason I’m asking is because I’ve got my server sitting on 2.4.2 and I’ve been a bit hesitant to upgrade to the 2.4.3 for now. If its required I’ll go ahead and tackle the 2.4.3 upgrade in prep for this. Thank’s guys for all your hard work. I know this stuff is time consuming but ya’ll do an awesome job.

You should go ahead and make a release for it, because Blizzard are releasing it way too late, I can’t wait that long, and i didn’t get accepted for their Beta-Opt, so this would be a nice thing to try out before I buy the actual thing.

Guys is it possible to have a eta, I know your busy with this and other stuff but my users have been harassing me to let them know how long they have to be patient for… theres only so many times i can tell them to stfu…

Ok this is a double post sorry but this is for all people who are waiting for the current WotLK release i have compiled a Sandbox release (meaning no items or spawns) this will allow you to explore Northrend and the new areas. you can also use commands like .morph .go .speed etc…

I have compiled a mangos based Alpha server, from information from several sources.

I found most of the emu options open to you from the emupedia website were incomplete and required a lot of work to get running. Everything from miss-information to the posting of incorrect client requirements etc.

It would be a huge boon for the guys here to take up the torch on this as every one of the reaper releases has allways performed over and above my expectations and with no where near the mess and fuss.
