Reaper Mangos 5116 with Scriptdev2 247 – Easy WoW Private Server compatible with WoW 2.3.3

This is the old version, get the new Reaper Mangos 5225 instead
Another update for Reaper Mangos, because mangos has officially support the 2.3.3 client of WoW … which means in order to use this, you’ll need to update your old 2.3.2 version into 2.3.3 because the previous (2.3.2) version is no longer supported … and if you still use the old client you’ll be unable to login :)
Also because it seems that some people want to switch database just like the old release of Reaper Mangos, i’ve decided to include the Silvermoon Database once again, which means you can switch between UDB and PSDB to test which one fit best for you ;)
And without further ado, here’s how to use it :

Fresh Installation :
1. Read my post on how to install Reaper Mangos from scratch (fresh installation) (i’m sorry the screenshots a little bit old, i’ll update it later) :)
2. If you plan on activating / enabling the Auction House Bot, you can use the Reaper-X-Mangos to get your character GUID and ID, read below for more info on how to activate auction house bot :)
Note: Vmaps isn’t enabled by default even if you’re using the Reaper-X-Mangos.exe to edit your configuration files because some people have problem with VMaps and in order to enable it you need to open mangosd.conf and replace :
vmap.enableLOS = 0
vmap.enableHeight = 0
to
vmap.enableLOS = 1
vmap.enableHeight = 1
To those who are upgrading from the 5082 version here are the steps :
1. Create a backup just in case something goes wrong and copy / move the backup file somewhere
2. Run the reaper-x-upgrade in Upgrade directory to upgrade your character table with the new SQL for GuildBank
3. Now create a backup again so your character backup is using the new char table and don’t run the upgrader again
4. And finally you can choose between Silvermoon database and UDB ;)
Note : If you have already extracted DBC, VMaps, and maps from wow 2.3.3 you don’t need to re-extract it again, but if you’re still using the old DBC from WoW 2.3.2 then you’ll need to re-extract the DBC Files only because the only changed is in the DBC files
Also finally, currently i’m having a big problem and that’s because … the area where i lived got flooded once again (i just hope this time the waters doesn’t get inside my house though like what is happening on February last year / 2007) or else i’d have to evacuate somewhere

I know on both Ascent and Mangos both, they have problems with escort quests. Its core realated and im not sure if they have working scripts for it yet for this core. It has something to do with waypoints.
Will check it out and let you know. I went to Zangarmarsh SE area and there is a Kayla something which is an escort quest I think and confirmed that one is not working.
Does anyone know of any current servers that have working escort quests? I think this may be universal – ALL broken maybe.

Well, Wailing Caverns has an escort quest with Narlax.. and a few of the actual “Events” like in RazorFen Kraul at the end where there is this big purple shield blocking the way to the boar boss. Thats supposed to come down after triggers from killing the NPCs outside. And a few other quests i found are broken Princess Trapped quest in Arathi Highlands, The Second Trial (paladin quest).
Another quick question is there a way to increase spawn amounts.. Like in Badlands with the rock elementals and stuff where online there is about 20 in one little spawn area but on here i found maybe 2-3 of them at one time.
Also do you have any Scripts you added of your own to fix certain quests or areas?

Thanks for the tips and pointing me in the right direction. Checked some things out and found out that the AH distribution of items was equal to 101% instead of 100%. After i fixed that, no more crashes. Not sure if that was the exact problem since i tweaked some other AH bot settings.
But things are good here and i wanted to make sure to thank you for taking the time.
#Danilo: Sounds like you may have a setup issue with your REALMD. Check the realmd.conf and look inside the realmlist table to ensure it is set to your IP address.
#Rule: the GM Island vendors are added by option #7 as I recall it from the Reaper install batch menu.
I’ve played two chars to lvl 70 in a regular server. But aside from a few instances I grinded/quested my way. If you have a Q let me know.
@Quillix: my testing has been somewhat limited to the instances we have played. For example I don;t know that Ramparts has any such escort quests. Do you have a particular one you would like us to test we were planning to play again Wednesday night we can try it if you name it.

I don’t understand -why- everyone is always so itchy to go to the next client release. Do what I do. Make a copy of your Warcraft folder and don’t expect that everytime Bliz throws an update at you that everyone will immediately scramble to make mangos and ascent work with the next client version.
Bliz client is for retail database. If anything else works with like 2.4.x thats lucky – feel lucky. =)
Sorry to hear about Reaper’s connectivity but happy to hear it’s JUST connectivity and in the universe of possibility he is probably going to be back yay!

um, i got it all to work and can play lan n stuff…. heres my problem. every thing runs about 2x speed, creutures, NPCs, even me. now this is my setup
im running the server on a older xp computer, i link it with 2 vista computers (and it all works) im useing the unified database…. Not silver moon, though i dont care if i need to switch. um, when i go to the champions hall to get pvp stuff, the armor venders dont work.
At the blood elf starting place place there is this thing that keeps killin me in 1 hit. now, i have tryed recopying the maps n stuff, no go. any ideas reaper?

With what your using for your private server.. do all of the Escort/instance events work properly?
Oh, Btw this adds on to what i just said. Another quest trigger. The paladin Second Trail the one where the four guys have to attack you one at a time is broken aswell.
@Uber: I am using Reapers repack initially. I’ve overlayed different databases since he also announced it would work with Silvermoon so I probably have a version of Silvermoon for my database at this point. The key question here is how to take a working system and replicate that to another system. I would assume that would be transfer of my backup (four SQL files) and the Mangos folder which includes the EXE and DLL files and CONF files (3 of those I think).
The part that cannot be replicated because of size is the DBC, VMAPS and MAPS folders. These weer extracted directly from the 2.3.3 Warcraft. Since we haven’t hear a word from Reaper in a very long time, I would not be turning blue waitnig on a 2.4.0 mangos release.
Has anyone even verified that the production Warcraft 2.4 will not run on this? I’m not going to test it because I’m perfectly happy with 2.3.3 right now. If you look ahead at some point Blizzard will deliberately make their CLIENT software incompatible with all Mangos/Ascent style reverse engineering. How do I know this? Common sense.
I’d be happy to make another package of my backup for you minus the VMAPS DBC and MAPS if “more than one” person says they will download and try to use it…
it seems to work very well and has the Silvermoon portals at all the boat locations, AH works, most mobs appear to be casting spells, overpowered Warlock imp and all. blink even seems to be working now most of the time. Every instance I have tried seems to work and GMIsland has vendors with cool epic sets on them. Not sure what else you could want.
Reaper/Oatman did an excellent job.
Anyways Like someone commented earlier about the Event AI i get the same

Now is this just a work in progress or did something not load properly or do I have to change something to possibly make it work? Or is there another Script i could add after the installation and make it work. Cause ive noticed any quest that requires an NPC walk (ie Escort Quests) or even some Instance Events like Razorfen Krauls portal that has to open at the end of it doesnt trigger. If anyone has any information for me I would really appreciate it. Thanks
How would i incorparate the 5157 spell fix into this reaper x release?
Martian: I would recommend putting your data files (maps, vmaps, dbc) in the root of your hard drive in a folder called data.
You currently have:
DataDir = “c:\World of Warcraft\Reaper-X-Easy-MaNGOS\data”
Try puting it as
DataDir = “c:\data\”
I may be wrong, but I hope this helps get you on the right track.

Hey everyone, and yes I am A noob to all of this.
I do know and work in the networking industry so I am kinda use to this. This is my first time installing this and i beleive i did pretty good. considering this is the only error that i have been getting for a week now. i have tried everything moving the vmap, map, and db files to wow\data and mangos\data with the same errors. tried everything on this forum to fix it too with no results. mangosd.exe is the only thing that fails everytime.
this is what my mangosd.config file looks like.

i dont get the database for realmd>realmlist
so when i wanna start my server i get the error :Table ‘realmd.realmlist’ doesn’t exist, some1 now wath i did wrong? did instal few times again, still didnt work

Hey Uber: very end of weekend here not time remains for proper assiatance. Still willing to get you configured personally if you can setup logmein or one of those type remote solution. Where it asys mangos;mangos you changed it in all the CONF files to have your correct MySQL login and password?

Also you must have the newest client before you can extract. other wise you will extract the lower client version and they are not compatable.

Re-extract is refering to someone who has already running a reaper-repack. When you go from a patch 2.3.2 to 2.3.3 it uses the new files which are part of the client. The patch number is on your wow when you launch it. its on the bottem left side. we are up to 2.3.3.7799 If you were running the reaper 5082 you are good to go on it. It was a 2.3.3.7799 build. They just added some new features to this one. Like AHbot and Guild banks. Just follow the guides to extract the Maps,Vmaps and DBC files, that is if you have not done this repack before. It does take alittle while. Depends on your computer speed.
Just follow the guide on how to extract and where to put them.
Make sure you have the newest client. 2.3.3.7799 other wise your pack will not work. Just use the wow launcher to update your client. Also never use this again until you know its safe to get the newest build. Sometimes it takes awhile before the developers to get the new core out to work with it. You would get “cannot validate game version” if so you would have to downgrade your wow client. Which is easy and a differant guide..

Actually i ran across that same error awhile back. I cant remeber the whole thing since i do alot of differant Cores. I belive its a database problem. I just emptied the database in sqlyog and restore from sql dump and intalled again (the database mangos). Make sure you use the right database. Each one is core related to a point since the have differant tables.
The UDB and Silvermoon that comes with the pack work fine. Also the New rev 7 project silver moon works as well.

Error in `item_template` table, probably sql file format was updated (there should be 141 fields in sql).
Anyone have have a clue. This shows up when i try to start server abd it gets to loading items section.

What kind of problems are you having with the casters? With the mob casting? If so it is a core issue. You will have to get the new core and compile or get a pre-compiled one. You will have to set up from scratch unless they make a new pack at reaper. Alot of things are dealt with on the core level and require a patch and re-compiling.

Its really not that hard. Just alot of reading and instaling C++ software. It takes alitte practice to compile your own.
Once you understand the database alittle better. This site is GREAT to add items and such. You actualy make them with there online windows, download the sql and execute it. Its real easy and fun to add new stuff to your Realm. Check it out.

Actually there is a guide i compiled through my serach. Its a GM bible i got from a site. it has every faction nuber, every item number. Everything you ever wanted to know. Its in excel format. i will dig it out and put it on filebea, for you.

because 14 is a enemy faction number. They attack. Now if you set it to 35 it makes it friendly and i belive 1604 makes it the same faction as the owner of the imp. On mine project silvermoon used 35 and UDB uses 1604. Both on the Faction_A and Faction_H. then restart your server and they are now friendly.

there is Mysqlyog and navicat. They are very simular, they both allow you to edit your database. Try em both and see which one you like better. I prefer Mysqlog. They both have free editions. Having one of theses are a must if you want to edit, update or change your databases.
Setting up is easy. When you create a connection you can name it whatever you want. Then your loaclhost, 3306 port and your username and password you used when you set up Mysql server. Hope this helps

If you click on the “entry” field when you select all button. It will put them in order and makes it easier to scroll through.
This is edited through Sqlyog. Open it up and connect to the database. You will see the differant database names. Go to Mangos. expand it with the +. Then down to creature_template. Expand that or press the little eye on the top bar of sqlyog. You will see the table open up on the right side of Sqlyog. Then check the Show all. This will take a moment due to the large database table. Then click the ID. it will put them in numerical order. Scroll down untill you see 12922. Scroll over and you will see the Imp. Keep scrolling right and you will see Faction A table and Next to it is Faction H
For horde and alliance. There will be a 14 in those. Change them to 35. Both of them. You will notice a red message on the top bar where you were typing. it says you change the database. now click the little disk on that small box where you were typing. it will save the info of what you did. Now your done.
