Reaper Mangos 5054 – Easy WoW Private Server for WoW 2.3.2 -Critical Update-

ATTENTION! There is a new release so this is now outdated and unsupported!

Well its finally here! The release that answers everyones questions and fixes everyones bugs! It took me about 8 hours of consistent coding and I believe that it is perfect. The only problem and thing I could not do was get the database updated. Besides that we have updated many things and added many new things as well.

1. MySQL Database and the Guide on how to Install MySQL

2. World of Warcraft Client version 2.3.2

Basically since the installation instruction is just the same as before release, and i’m currently writing on the fresh installation guide so there’s no need to write it everytime there’s a new release available for download :)

#Kezia easiest way i know to set up your realm for online access , download navicat http://www.navicat.net/download.html
install it, then load it , you will need to login to your db through navicat. once there click on the realmd icon (should be grey when you first get in, then click on realmlist. it will show you something like this on a different window. 1(realm name),(your IP(www.whatismyip.com),8085,4,2,1,0,0.02. this is what your realm should look like for others to connect. as for port forwarding. make sure that the forwarded ports are to the computer’s local ip that hosts the server. this should fix it. easiest way i can tell you without going through the dos commands etc. navicat is easier to use bc of the GUI.

I did port fowarding it didnt work when I used my public ip as realmlist for me or my friend i have it set as to my domain right now and as for the mysql its set to my domain too..

#Kezia i have mine set up for my public IP http://www.whatismyip.com and both local(on my lan) and people online can connect. if you’ve done everything in the guide make sure you have done your port forwarding (important for online access)

I followed the guide already i can connect but my friend cant my realmlist is set to my host domain and my realmd ( the thing where you do the update command in SQL is edited to my LAN IP adress (but isnt lan for ppl on the same network?

Upgrade worked great, thank you. Did not have any problems other than some missing GUID’s.
A little confusing on the upgrade instructions as to the install paths, but 5005 was my first install. All the characters seem to be ok without doing any restore.

#ManuA i had this problem as well once.. run the batch file again extract-map.bat once it finishes replace the maps with the new maps. you’ll have to delete the maps folder in the world of warcraft folder first or it won’t run. this should fix your problem. if it doesn’t i’m on yahoo messanger send me an IM and i’ll transfer the files you are missing to you.

I Keep Getting An Error Message when i open up Mangosd it says:

‘./maps/0004331.map’: not exist!

But when i ran my AD.exe, it had no errors…

#ATTENTION TO ALL THOSE BACKING UP THEIR DATABASE THEN INSTALLING FRESH!!!

This will ruin your database! Unlike the old releases, if you use the backup tool then the fresh install then the restore, it will ruin your database because their are things that you are writing over from the old database an placing it in the new one. You need to go into the Upgrade folder in Reaper-X-Mangos and run the upgrade batch file.

What do you do if you did a clean install?

To add honor as a GM you can use the command .honor add xxxxx where xxxxx is the amount of honor you want. That is taken from the GM commands list under the heading at the bottom of the page of Popular Posts

#Raver if you use Quice you can edit the item buy value. current buy value for those items are honor points you can change it with gold… but if you have Quice you can just make your own items =D

Not finding anything else broken in testing but I do get a slew of these messages indicating things missing or out of parity. If anyone with more knowledge of mangos DB than I have can give pointers as to what if anything and how I should work to get these cleaned up, that would be wonderful.

#Raver: Some of the prices are with tokens you can add as a GM, but honor I’m not sure how to add honor. You could probably find and edit the items to have a gold price instead of honor, but why. If you really want custom ietms make your own items and populate the vendors with those instead. It’s all elbow grease from here I think… =)

I think Ray may have had the answer – missing piece of the puzzle with the realmd realmlist database realm table address field needing an IP other than 127.0.0.1. I think it needs to be lniked to the external IP everyone is using to hit your site and getting forwarded at the router to your local IP in the ipconfig.

Only other thing I’m finding now is boss mobs like Doombringer dropping no loot so DB needs some cleaning and filling but otherwise a very excellent release.

OK. The server is working and the vendors are working. BUT I CAN’T BUY SOME THINGS FROM VENDORS WITH GOLD!!! THEY ARE WITH HONOR OR I DON’T KNOW(badge of justice…). PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks for this release didnt have any problems with it. all i did was backed up my characters with reaper batch and upgraded and then restored my characters back and everything was still there and i manually config. and it works perfect:)

dont take it personaly but please dont release more rushjobs like you did until now. I know you worke hard for the releases but they just look and feel like done in some kind of hurry (installer not unpack, log data left over, etc) please take your time an do it right (that meanes you do some testing first an then you release it) As stated an the beginning dont take it personaly

I was wondering if you guys need any help testing servers and releases you guys bring out. I know you guys are making your own privet server soon to be accessed by any and all who wish, but I was wondering if you need help behind the scenes with testing bugs or making sure the gameplay rides close with the actual blizz servers. I am kind of new at this stuff you guys by far have the BEST website for private servers…I am in the US Navy and I have set this up for the guys while under way. I have 2 questions hopely easy answers:

first can the server be run on a mac??

Second is there a way I can make a HTML account creation where people can send a request to me in a queue while I am away and I can come back and approve the account??

Ouch! Well what you can try to do is wait out for the next release in a few, download that, and upgrade from there and see if your issues are fixed.

If that doesn’t work we can go from there.

mailbox fix
they are listed as game objects… i’m not sure the command for adding game objects but a neutral one that should work for alliance or horde is “144112″
that is the item code for a neutral mailbox

Oh man, my husband isnt happy, he just hit 65 with his characters and I just hit 55, this sucks big time. Is there any way that I could be able to save my characters without losing those? but have a clean install? Did that make sence?

I know it’ll suck but my best guess is to try a fresh install (clearing all your databases as well) and see if they come up. Something prolly got messed up during the upgrade process or some files didn’t get copied over correctly.

Someone else might have a better solution but from what I’m seeing, that’s all you can really do.
