Reaper Mangos 5005 – Easy WoW Private Server for WoW 2.3.2

Header Notes: Since this is my first compile I left out some stuff on accident. Nothing big but still I appologize. There will be a revision following this on Sunday evening fixing all the stuff I left out.

Another Mangos release again after the last 4875 release (that is released one month ago), and this time the release uses Mangos Core 5005 which was written by Jared (Oatman). In this release we are providing support for patch 2.3.2 along with ScriptDev 218, and UDB 334. In this release all the boats are fixed and many new things have been added. Since this is my first release for you guys, I hope it is not buggy. I have tested it multiple times and everything seems to be ok. Although, I am 100% positive that the backup tool works. So before you go to the upgrade folder, go to the normal batch file and backup your database.
And yet another note, I will not be providing support for the MaNGOS Mod. Instead I am going to include the Mod’s already into the game because it is confusing to have to decide than switch back if a update is not provided for it. Oh and by the way, the only Mod in this release is the custom NPC Vendors. So here is a side note for everyone using Reaper’s Previous MaNGOS Mod.
If your using MaNGOSMod
Go into your database and change mangosmod to mangos, and realmdmod to realmd and charactersmod to characters. From this point you may run the upgrade wizard and update and get back on track with updates. Since I have re-written the batch files, they are alot more customizeable so you may not have to change your database name. (This has not been tested, so backup before you do so.)
REQUIREMENTS:
1. MySQL Database and the Guide on how to Install MySQL
2. World of Warcraft Client version 2.3.0 or 2.3.2
3. Updated DBC’s, VMAP’s, and MAPS.—Extraction Tools Included in Release Under Tools.
-Already Extracted 2.3.2 DBC Files

Updated Batch file to fix lan party configurator : Updated 5005 Batch File .. To use it just overwrite the reaper-x-mangos.bat with this one ;)
Fresh Install:
Important Note : Fresh installation will overwrite your database
1. First you’ll need to install MySQL
2. Extracting Maps, DBC and VMaps from your World of Warcraft installation
(You can safely ignore the Patch-2, or any not found xxx-2 message)–This only happens if your extracting from patch 2.3.0
3. Run the reaper-x-mangos.bat inside the reaper-eazy-mangos folder, and you’ll see something like below image for an example, and then you just need to write the full path to your mysql installation directory (where mysql.exe and mysqldump.exe can be found) ;)
4. Selection Option 1 by pressing “1″ on the keyboard and pressing enter.
Note: This will wipe out any previous versions of WoW you have in your database.
6. After finished with all of the above process, all you have to do now is just open the realmlist.wtf file in your World of Warcraft installation directory (the default location can be found at C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft) using Notepad, Wordpad, or your favorite text editor and then …
Replace :
set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com
With :
set realmlist 127.0.0.1
and then save it and close realmlist.wtf File.
7. Now you just need to run mangosd.exe and realmd.exe from your mangos directory and then the next step would be creating your own username with your desired password for your own WoW server account as shown on below image followed by typing setgm to give yourself a GM level account
By the way, if you can’t see what you should type inside the mangosd window from the above image, actually you just need to type :
create username password
to create the account
setgm username 1-3
to give yourself GM Access at certain level (3 is the highest level and should only be used on your account while normal player is 0)
8. Finally if you have Burning Crusade client installed and want to be able to create Burning Crusade specific character, all you have to do is just type :
setbc username 1
to enable burning crusade expansion for your account :)
Optional :
If you want to change the server name into something else, you can use the reaper-x-mangos.bat to adjust it :)
Upgrading from 4875 Release:
1. Re-extract vmaps, maps and dbc because this version no longer supports the old World of Warcraft 2.3.0 installation and only supports the new 2.3.2
2. Go into your WoW Reaper Server Directory, and open reaper-eazy-mangos. Next I recommend opening the batch file and backing up your character data. This is optional though.
3. Open the Folder called “Upgrade” and run reaper-x-upgrade.bat.
4. Next type in the directory to the Bin Folder where your mysql.exe and mysqldump.exe files are located.
5. Then make sure that you are upgrading from the latest previous version or else you WILL corrupt your database and possibly lose your character data.

should i try to upgrade again?
I went through the update it looked like it worked flawlessly and when i open mangosd it looks like the servers up correctly.
But it gives me unable to validate game version

Hi I correctly followed all of the steps my mangos and realmd open up perfectly , but when i attempt to open my World of warcraft .exe i get a fatal error
ERROR #131 (0×85100083) File Corrupt
Program: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
File: DBFilesClient\Startup_Strings.dbc
i dont have a C:\WoW\data?>
I have a very odd problem.
in the realmd.exe, there are a bunch of messages saying “accepting connection randomip:randomport” is this normal?
How do i creat a acount??

yea there is other stuff in my C:\WoW\data
folder am i putting the files into my wow instalation data folder or the private server data file

Where do you place the data directory ?
that contains vmaps, maps and dbc directory …
for example you should write .. C:\mangos\data
if you placed the vmaps, maps, and dbc directory in C:\mangos\data
C:\wow\data
The system cannot find the file specified.
Desired items drop rate ? (default : 1)
it cant find my data folder :( . C:/wow/data is where i’ve got the maps, vmaps and dbc folders after extraction in but it just cant find them :( please can someone help..

go to where you downloaded reaper mangos to.. open the folder. look for a folder in their called Tools. open that then follow the instructions on the following page (the files you need for this are in the three forlders in the Tools forlder):

No I don’t want to Live Reaper love it and the best way to update and best how two’s. All im asking if you guys can put together a how to for dummies. Like for ex one that will tell what is there to know to be good at running mangoes and setting things up just pointing out good pointers.

try hitting eneter a few times and see if mangos command prompt is showing maybe you are typin but the scrolling stuff is hiding it. if thats the case just type what you are typing will end up on several lines due to the scrolling text but the commands will still work

in mangos window type create “username” “pass” desired
then in mangos window type setbc “username” 1
if you have tbc installed that is
then type setgm “1-3″ for you desired gm level
No Quotes
ignore the scrolling text it will still work
Here is the solution to my problem….
In c:\program files\world of warcraft\ folder there is a folder called wtf. Within this folder is a file called config.wtf
within this file are two net addresses locking wow to the blizzard server. one is the loginserver address which needs to be changed to the network address of the mangos server, the other is the patchserver address which just needs to have the dns name removed from the quotes. THis solved the problem for me.
yes this may sound newbish but a guide on how to b/u characters would be nice my problem has been i figure im doin a backup but no accounts are there however when i create a random account i see the accts so im confused

New discovery.. Even with realmlist.wtf changed, and loading wow.exe directly, it is still logging directly in to blizzards server. Thus explaining why my log in sequence doesnt work. Anyone have any ideas as to this one?
Last night when i ran the mangosd.exe everything went fine. This morning when i tried to run it it came up with an error saying “Error loading `creature_equip_template` table
Anyone know how to fix that?
I am having the same difficulty as Dumbass. Had no issues with running 4875, and I followed all the instructions for upgrading. I have checked and rechecked everything I can think of, but it wont allow a log in. the message i get is “The information you have entered is not valid. Please check the spelling of the username and password…….” Like I said, I am stumped.

1: are your ports opened on your computer?
2: did you edit the “hosts” file in your C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc folder too include your new connection? adding this for example, too the bottom of the file: “192.168.x.x xxx.xxx.xxx” where the xxx.xxx.xxx is your new connection ip, and the other is your network ip.
3: if your using a router, have you opened the ports and added port forwarding too it?
4: if you have an ip that changes often, did you make a custom ip useing a dynamic dns provider too connect too your computer?(not necessary but makes it so you always have the same connection too your computer even if your ip changes.)
yes i did changed that but it still wont work :/ plz help me .. i still cant connect its lasting 3 days now :/

watch when mangos loads up and see if it gives any errors when it reaches the loot tables part. Also, log in too the server and kill a mob, loot it then pop out and see if mangos says anything about the loot tables.
I had a problem like this in mangos 47xx but it dealt with the spawn tables. Had too reinstall the server again too clear it up since I don’t know how too repair the database through mysql.
I’m shure someone here can talk you through a database repair though, if it is that.

Tried upgrading, run ok…apart from two problems:
No new DBC folder was extracted, so i couldn’t copy a new one to my WoW/Data folder, is that a problem?
Then major problem is that when i run upgrade, i get to the Yes or No screen, type in Yes and nothing happens, type in No or anything else for that matter, nothing happens….
Are the two problems linked?

in you mangosd.confg there is a line as:
“@prefix@/share/mangos” or close to this.
change this to where it gose to your vmaps, maps and db folders are for example,
change “@prefix@/share/mangos”
to
“C:\Program Files\Mangos\Reaper-Easy-MaNGOS”

sorry for a little off topic comment :) but does anyone know the spell id for adding spelldamage (959 spell damage that is).
i know how to do it just not the id :(
the highest i could find was 325 sp dam with id of 36385 which works :)and i only found that from looking through thottbot for spell dam gear getting the entry id and looking up the spell id in sqlyog, anywya, thnx for helping and for your time :).
even if i did they should still be able to drop some items
but they dont drop any
even they are items for a quest
