My server suddenly stopped working :/ Its not detecting anything.. im redoing all the maps and vmaps to see if that will fix it.. anyway the error code i get is;

Hey im new to making my own server and im not sure if i can do it with the latest patch. which is 2.4.2. So anyway if it doesn't work with the latest patch then dont worry about answering my question.

When i run extract-map.bat the first line says "access is denied"
Im sure that this is a problem and that i will not be able to go on with the other steps before this is fixed. so pls tell me what am i doing wrong.

Hi There i want to know is the client version linked to the server, because i still have the world of warcraft version 1.11.1.5462 and would like to create a private server for it to be able to test the game at home before buying me another version. can someone mail me to tell me how can i craete such a server and which files to download.

Hello, i've got a big problem:

I've made all the passages to create a mangos 2.3.0 server and i can login in it, BUT after doing it, i can't see the "Create New Character" button. I've looked everywhere but i still can't find a solution to my problem. Maybe i did something wrong during the installation of the server? Or is there just a simple way to resolve it?

Please let me know as soon as possible.

Great guide. I have a quick question. I get all the way to this point....

"7. Now you just need to run mangosd.exe and realmd.exe from your mangos directory and then the next step would be creating your own username with your desired password for your own WoW server account as shown on below image followed by typing setgm to give yourself a GM level account"

When I run the mangosd.exe file, it gets this error.

"Loading Game Object Templates...
SQL: SELECT MAX('entry') FROM 'gameobject_template'
query ERROR: table 'mangos.gameobject_template' doesn't exist
Error loading 'gameobject_template' table (not exist?)"

Please...any help would really be appreciated.

Nevermind, I got it to run, but it doesnt repair anything? it just tells me that the inventory files need to be repaired

Oh yeah, and before you answer, anything I type in mysql after logging in just gives me

"->"

Nothing else unless I clear the buffer...

Hey, i'm having a similar issue as "Shei" except its saying that about all of my characters inventories.

I tried running the command prompt you posted for shei, but I get an error telling me that my access was denied even though i logged in?!

Any help would be appreciated

i believe that repair tool already included with WoW installation, all you have to do is just run the repair.exe located in your wow directory :)

If you get that message, that means, the mangos version you're trying to use isn't compatible with your wow version

btw if you have wow 2.3.3 installed you need to use mangos version 5225 ;)

I've got everything installed and running but when I try to log in I get an error saying "Unable to validate game version...". This is my first time setting up my own server and I'd like to know what I've done wrong. :)
