PCSX2 0.9.4 the PS2 Emulator has been released

PCSX2 0.9.4 (the one and only PS2 emulator i’ve tested and works) has been released yesterday (based from my local time). In fact i just tested two games (Suikoden V, Metal Gear Solid) on this new pcsx2 release and it seems there’s some improvement from the previous version (though i think my current pc specs is still not enough to run games normally on pcsx2). And btw … i’m using Athlon64 X2 5200+ with 3GB PC5300 DDR2 RAM, and GeForce 8600GT

But as a side note, i haven’t tried to play around with all of the new settings yet, other than enabling the Multi Threaded GS Mode and Dual Core mode on the cpu setting

The first one is Suikoden V, i get around 20 to 30 FPS at the Intro part and between 25 to 30 while on ship at the beginning (most of the time it just sits between 25 to 30)

The next game i test is the Metal Gear Solid 3 because i saw on the announcement that PCSX2 0.9.4 support MGS3. And although i get quite good fps at the beginning until the menu appear (more than 35 FPS), unfortunately i can get only around 10 – 18 FPS while in game though there’s an increase if i disabled FSAA and bilinear filtering … at the starting point in the jungle)

So i guess that if you’re using a more powerful pc with a high end vga card (especially if you’re using SLI) … i think that you can get a quite good fps … and probably you can play your ps2 games using this :)

I have 9.4 and I need the bios for it and was wondering I am using 9.2 bios rigt now and my copy of KOF XI is lagging lack crazy I was just wondering if the 9.2 bios are the reason the game is lagging my I please have a copy of the 9.4 bios, thanks reaper

ok woot i have fixed it :P if anyone gets the same error as a did open up pcsx2 and click config > configure and at the bottem left corner click bios directory and select the folder ur bios is in

hey i have the bios there is 24 files in there i have rom1 and scph1000 i have hered theyer names on other sites the bios in in C:\Program Files\Pcsx2_0.9.4\bios all the bios files are in there thay are extracted and i have tryed bios from difrent places but evry time i get “unable to locate /bios, pcsx2 can’t run without that” error plz plz help me my email is alakon@hotmail.co.uk

I Have The Full Version if The Program With Lots of Plugins and etc.
But My latest bios is : its SCPH-70004V V12 i
think its old (EUR V2.0 14-6-2004). And My Machine is :
Asus P5B Deluxe
Core2 Duo e6750 2.6 1066
2G Ram OCZ 800
XFX 8600 GT ZalMan 680mhz core
But Still I Have Problem While Playing MGS3 Its Too Slow and with the best configuration Fps is above 10-20. if i Leave it to default configs fps will go above 10.

I have:Pentium D 925 processor[EM64]
3.0 GHz processor,
945 GZ motherboard,
512 MB DDR2 Ram[533 MHz].
Onboard Graphics with Pixel Shader 2.0.

Using windows Pro XP SP1 x64 and x86.
Using latest PCSX2 version.

I m playing Resident Evil 4,
it is running good but some time it runs very slow and the sounds r also crashing and not coming smooth. The FPS in RE-4 is about 20-25 since I cannot tell the exact value because i play in full screen.

Kindly tell me how to improve the speed of my PCSX2, One more thing is that can we see the FPS in full Screen or not if yes plz tell me.

Guys……remember this…..
The BIOS are illegal to download…its Sony Electronics copyrights…
so…if you want to have it…just dump it from the real console…
PS2 emulators at this time do not play most games and if they do…its a unplayable speeds. Just buy the freaking real PS2 Console…guys!
it’s cheap…in my homeland…
just pay for about $198,50 or Rp.1.800.000 your problem is done…piece a cake…

Um, reaper-X, looks like you’ve been helping a lot. XD I wanted to play KH2 last time but since it’s still ver 0.9.2 I couldn’t get it to work properly, but it works slowly though. Now that the 0.9.4 is out, i’d like to try again. But i lost my bios =x and i forgot where i downloaded it last time that has a working BIOS for KH2.
I had Japan 2000, Europe 2001 and 2004, USA 2002 and 2004 BIOSes. I suspect it’s the USA 2006 that works with KH2? I am not entirely sure but can you please send me the BIOS that you think might work? my email is basketmansyu_z@hotmail.com
Just to be sure, maybe you can include your configuration that works?
I’ll update you again if it works or not, thanks a lot in advance =)

coz your problem same as mine when the first time i ran the emu…check the bios files…
n btw…i can play RE 4 with my emu…
but sometimes the game gets lag…(fps’s down)
but it works…

Thats works with mine…
so if you still have the problem…
that’s mean your game not playable

Hi all,

Now i’m trying to run the game using bios japan. There is no rom error anymore. But still cannot run because patches not found.
Till now i failed to run any ps games using PCSX2 v0.9.4.

Hey reaper ive done everything correctly,but
when i run dragon ball z budokai tenkaichi 3.iso
through virtual dvd rom, nothing happens.
the screen goes blank and nothing appears.
Im using pcsx2 0.9.2r2
