PCSX2 0.9.4 the PS2 Emulator has been released

PCSX2 0.9.4 (the one and only PS2 emulator i’ve tested and works) has been released yesterday (based from my local time). In fact i just tested two games (Suikoden V, Metal Gear Solid) on this new pcsx2 release and it seems there’s some improvement from the previous version (though i think my current pc specs is still not enough to run games normally on pcsx2). And btw … i’m using Athlon64 X2 5200+ with 3GB PC5300 DDR2 RAM, and GeForce 8600GT

But as a side note, i haven’t tried to play around with all of the new settings yet, other than enabling the Multi Threaded GS Mode and Dual Core mode on the cpu setting

The first one is Suikoden V, i get around 20 to 30 FPS at the Intro part and between 25 to 30 while on ship at the beginning (most of the time it just sits between 25 to 30)

The next game i test is the Metal Gear Solid 3 because i saw on the announcement that PCSX2 0.9.4 support MGS3. And although i get quite good fps at the beginning until the menu appear (more than 35 FPS), unfortunately i can get only around 10 – 18 FPS while in game though there’s an increase if i disabled FSAA and bilinear filtering … at the starting point in the jungle)

So i guess that if you’re using a more powerful pc with a high end vga card (especially if you’re using SLI) … i think that you can get a quite good fps … and probably you can play your ps2 games using this :)

Bios cannot be given like this because they are the property of sony and it will be illegal to gave like this.

Sorry One more question not about my PC but about My friend’s PC.

He Has :

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz
1 GB RAM
No Graphic Card. But inbuilt with Pixel Shader 2.0
And a Normal motherboard.

Sir the question is that the games are not running on the good FPS and some of them are not showing there image even. Plz tell me how to configure the Plugins and what to do so that some games can be run on normal FPS.

Also he has USB mouse and keyboard does this makes any difference because keys are not working in a proper way.

Plz tell me what to do so that games can be played at least not all but some.

@VikMay – if you really want a very good graphics you should set up a new comp. ^^
the emulator really need a good memory(atleast 2gb) and video card (atleast 7600gt and above).
the emulator also doesnt work on older proc like pentium 3, you need atleast pent 4 and above for it to run.

abt your 2nd problem have you try daemon??? virtual cd could help you ^^

I want to ask some question about 3 don’t mind plz.

I have: AMD Athalon 3200+ 64 Bit Processor
256 MB RAM and 256 MB Ge Force 4 MX Graphic card, and Asus A8v Deluxe MOBO.

I want to ask what type of upgrades do I need to increase the speed of PCSX2 that means FPS, because I m getting 6 FPS in Resident Evil 4 with Bogus Graphic Plugins setting.

Sir I also want to know what is a good Configuration of PC in which PXCSX2 can be run on good FPS about 30 – 40 FPS in games Like RE-4. What graphic card i buy so that i get good performance and 1 GB of RAM is ok or not, also do i need to upgrade my processor or not.

The second problem is that I cannot run the PS2 DVD which are marked like NTSC U/C that means USA and Canada, how to make them run please help me.

ya, I actually looked at this the other day, havent kept up with their updates since 0.9.2 came out. They are really working hard. i wonder how it would run on my macbook pro in vista, woot 8600M GT. better than my old 6200.
