Reaper Mangos Mod 4703 – Easy Custom WoW Mangos Private Server

This update is to those who are using my custom mangos release (or called Reaper Mangos Mod) and just like the previous 4651 Mod Version this Reaper Mangos Mod use the Jail Patch and Command patch so you can adjust your reputation easily, and also include Auction House Bot so there’ll always be auction on your server. Other than that two patch, in this release i’ve also include Custom Vendors created by D-Treize from Project Silvermoon forum (see screenshot below), that perhaps might be useful to those who want replacement for the custom vendor at GM Island (because this release use Unified Database and that GM Island vendor only available in Silvermoon DB only)
But first as a note, this release is geared towards to a more experienced mangos users, so if you’re still new to Mangos, i’d suggest you to grab the normal version instead (current normal version is at 4703 too)

IMPORTANT : If you’re upgrading from my 4651 MOD, you should download this updated batch file and overwrite the reaper-x-mangos.bat inside reaper-eazy-mangos directory with this one, btw i’d suggest you to get this one even if you’re not upgrading

Fresh Installation :
1. Extract DBC, VMaps and Maps (and oh i assume you’ve installed mysql and it’s working as it should)
2. Run the reaper-x-mangos.bat and write your mysql bin directory when prompted and then choose to install the database first
3. Choose option number 4 to configure the datadir and rate
4. Edit realmlist.wtf and replace :
set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com
into :
set realmlist 127.0.0.1
5. Start mangosd.exe and realmd.exe
6. Create new account using these commands :
- create myusername mypassword
- setbc myusername 1
- setgm myusername 3
and login :)
Upgrading from Reaper Mangos Mod 4651 :
1. Run reaper-x-mangos.bat
2. Choose option number 99 and wait until it finished (do not interrupt it or there’s a high chance you’ll lose your character data) .. or to be safe, create backup using the reaper-x-mangos.bat in this release and choose the appropiate option when prompted :)
3. Now choose option number 4 to reconfigure mangosd.conf … and don’t use the previous mangosd.conf because it has been changed, and then open the mangosd.conf manually and adjust your Auctionbot GUID and Character ID accordingly
4. Done :)
And as a side note, if you need help on moving your character data into this release from older Mangos revision (below and not equal to 4651) or worry about losing your character data … you can always email me directly and i’ll convert it for you :)
And here’s some new additional commands for you (GM Only) to use which is available in this release :
1. jail – Syntax: .jail character hours [reason]
To jail character of course :P
2. jailinfo – Syntax: .jailinfo
Shows your jail status
3. unjail – Syntax: .unjail character
Releases character out of the jail
4. pinfo rep | jail – Syntax: .pinfo [$player_name] [rep] | [jail]
Output account information for selected player or player find by player_name. If rep parameter provided show reputation information for player. If jail parameter provided show jail information for player
5. setrep (reputation) – Syntax: .setrep REPID REPVALUE
Sets the REPVALUE of the reputation with the REPID to the REPVALUE. You can use .pinfo rep to get known reputation ids
6. setap – Syntax: .setap VALUE
Sets the arena points to the VALUE (0-999999)
7. sethonor – Syntax: .sethonor VALUE
Sets the honor to the VALUE (0-999999)
8. ahexpire – Syntax: .ahexpire <house id> <player GUID>
ahexpire will expire all the auctions in the requested auction house with the player GUID as the owner
9. ahdelete – Syntax: .ahdelete <house id> <player GUID>
ahdelete will delete all the auctions in the requested auction house with the player GUID as the owner

Is much compicate to explain evry thing about editing the dbc, use Quice to edit it for me it works great and figured for my self what doese every generic number doese it hase a blue button for everything. .linkgrave – #graveyard_id [alliance|horde] – Link current zone to graveyard for any (or alliance/horde faction ghosts). This let character ghost from zone teleport to graveyard after die if graveyard is nearest from linked to zone and accept ghost of this faction. Add only single graveyard at another map and only if no graveyards linked (or planned linked at same map)for .neargrave – [alliance|horde] – Find nearest graveyard linked to zone (or only nearest from accepts alliance or horde faction ghosts). As for .security – $name #level – Set the security level of player $name to a level of #level.
#level may range from 0 to 5.

The dbc, vmaps and maps you must copy them in an separate folder for example “D:\WoW\data”(in that folder should be dbc, maps and vmaps folders) and specife it when you run reaper-x-mangos.bat and select option 4.

1.Maby it will be fixed in the next update as for “creature (GUID: 10993 Entry: 22940) has equipment_id 543518313 (override from creature data) not found in table ‘equipment’” it is not an error from druids.
2.Run these commands in mangosd.exe “create myusername mypassword” “setbc myusername 1″ “setgm myusername 3″ (myusername and mypassword is of your choise).

but there are some problems
1. Druids cant open char stats, honor, skills, etc.(and i mean only druids)
2. I want to create an administrator because i cant seem to add objects, just npcs and i want to customize shattrath, so what is the admin code

First of all this emulator is not comaptible with v2.3 just v2.2.3 of WoW.
If you don`t have patch-2.mpq in your “X:\World of Warcraft\Data”(example) maby you could try Repair.exe found in your main WoW folder.
Got another big issue guys.
I moved my dbc, vmaps, and maps folder/directories to my Data folder – C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft/Data –
And then when I run mangosd.exe and realmd.exe it says this:
-Could not find vmap file ‘C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data/vmaps/001_33_39.vmdir
-Correct *.map files not found in path ‘C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data\maps’ or *.vmap/*vmdir files in ‘C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data\vmaps’.
-Please place *.map/*.vmap/*.vmdir files in appropriate directories or correct the Datadir value in the mangosd.conf file
What do i do to fix this? I did every other step it just dont wanna work… hmm help me.
Alright Ghost, thanks for the type lol, but I guess there was a kind of misunderstanding, because I already have the DB editor. I’ve been using Mysql as DB editor. What I really want to know is the meaning of each generic number that I must use inside the DB, like 0 and -1, because I’ve seen that the function of these numbers has some relation with specific general queries like “allow” and “deny”, sort of. Plus, I wanted to know the real meaning of each field (or row), for instance, stat_type, stat_value, displayid, delay, spell_trigger. Although I know all these fields, I am looking forward to know all the others that I don’t know yet. Two more questions: How can I use exactly the commands .neargreave and .linkgreave? And how the hell can I find some really useful charges to the command .security and the meaning of each level? Thanks for all.

I’m running TBC 2.3 btw
for some reason, I don’t have a patch-2.mpq file in my data folder much less a patch-enUS-2.mpq file
when I run “extract-enUS” it says that it could not find patch-2.mpq and then it skips that and goes on to the next file.
later, when I run “reaper-x-mangos” it goes up to 96% and then says there was an error with a dbc file…says it exists but it may be incompatible
Please help if you can.
i cant seem to do anything on it to fix this and still noone that is able to help me with this logging in problem on my own server but i guess ill wait for zen maybe you can help me out a bit more when you get back

The 4703 Mangos compile is only for patch 2.2.3… so to answer your question no it doesnt work with patch 2.3.

Your using 127.0.0.1 for your server IP AND in realmlist.wtf right? If so then I don’t know what is wrong sorry. I could figure it out if I have more time but I have to go. I won’t be on for awhile so I hope someone else or reaper-x can help you. I’ll try and get on soon if I can to see if I can help you but I don’t think I’ll be able to. Well good luck!

I’ve just followed your exellent guide and I didn’t really run in to many problems. A few minor ones. (the patch-2 error was one, I also had a problem with my DBC but I downloaded your version and then it worked.)
I’ve been able to start up the server and my cliens can connect, but the game tells them that they’re game version is incorrect. Has this version not been updated to work with the lastest patch? (The gods of Zul’Aman)
I’m using the EnGB version of the game.

hey zen i wanted to use just a solo for myself server but was told many times from other people i needed dyndns either way so i tried and i do use 127.0.0.1 etc but it still does the no character no character creation option thing ??
I meant for you to make sure you type “:” after “C” and before “\” and not “;”.

Okay I messed with the batch file your talking about and came up with this:
Here’s the example used:
C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.0\bin
Here’s my path I have to type:
C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\bin
My MySQL is v5.1 and not v5.0 so I have to remember that when typing it. :) That could be your problem as well… maybe.
Also, when your typing the path make sure you are typing exactly what you need. The reason is cause you could mistype your path and it will still give you the option to install… but when you press 1 it will give you that error. Try making sure you type “:” after C:\ and not “;”.
Let me know if any of these help. If not quote what your typing as your path and give a bit more detail. Hope that helps!

and i rly waiting on the new 2.3 patch its already 2,3 weeks launched …. i am rly frustraded cus i am a hig lvl char on a oficial server and the new patch is rly good so ,,,.. do you know what the problem is for the mangos team??? i rly hope that the update is coming soon.

Sorry about not replying right away… couldn’t find what I was looking for. So instead of coming back empty handed I searched through a lot of posts similar to yours. I’ve seen a bunch of them everywhere… its seems that every single problem related to yours was solved by the people posting them but no solution. The only one I found is this one:
“found what was wrong, the path needs to be with “/”, not with “\”:)”
I was thinking of something else that could be related to your problem… I had the same problem you did but I solved it myself as well… can’t recall what I did sorry lol.
What I was getting at is that maybe you forgot to check the very important box during your MySQL setup… It gives you a similar error to what your getting. I’ll show you a snapshot of the spot I’m talking about below:

See what Reaper circled in blue? Don’t know if you checked it or not but if you didn’t its very important. Which could be giving you your error “‘mysql’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch files.”
If only I could remember how I fix mine or if I could find what I’m looking for. Sorry again, hope that works or you find what your doing wrong.

Your problem is that you didn’t follow the directions completely. You missed the step where you copy the extracted files (vmaps, maps, and dbc files to a different directory/folder). You were supposed to copy them to a similar directory such as: C:\WOW\data (this is my directory). Please go back and take a look at that step if you don’t understand. And when you do that you tell it to go to C:\WOW\data to look for those files not C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data. Good luck! And please follow the directions better!

Lol, you missed a very important step it seems… thats not good. The reason I know is cause if you get “‘mysql’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch files.” that means you forgot to put a check in the box which is VERY IMPORTANT! Lemme go check the step it is in…
I got a problem, when I use reaper-x-mangos.bat and press the first 1 for upgrading the database or whatever it is… it says:
‘mysql’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch files. (It says that 3 times under one another)
Then when it asks for my root, I give it, it says, “Please wait it’ll take a while to import the database.”
Under that it says “press any key to countinue” and I do, and then it gives me the exact same message as before:
‘mysql’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch files.
Is it supposed to do that or am I doing something completely wrong?
Hey Reaper really nice guide but im to Lan Party and in reaper-x-mangos after i have installed by type 1 i type 4 and then i should write were my dbc adn vmaps and maps are in and i write C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data and then it says cant the file cannot be opened…. :( please help fast so we can play on it :D

You are pretty much describing what I just said is most likely the problem. Just to see if you are getting what I’m thinking you are I decided to purposely change my server IP to a LAN IP and leave my IP in realmlist.wtf as a loop-back IP.
When I do this I get this:

I hit OK and it just pops the realm selection screen back up within milliseconds. So i then hit cancel and get:

Notice that the the 2 characters of mine do not show up to the right where they should be? That and there’s no create character button either just like the similar problem your having?
So to fix this I set my server IP back to the loop-back IP (which is what I need to connect to play :), loop-back IP is 127.0.0.1). When I do this I get:

Notice now both my characters show up and also the create character button is now there? I believe that for some reason its your IPs not matching.
I’m sure reaper-x could solve your problem of yours really quick but for some reason he hasn’t been on in a while. I believe he is compiling his next mangos build and righting a guide for it… well im hoping lol :).
I have a couple questions I need you to answer to see where you are at ok?
1.) Is this your first time installing this WoW Emu or are you updating it?
2.) Are you trying to let others connect to your server from the internet? Just wondering cause your using a dyndns as you said, which is for online.
3.) Have you tried using the loop-back IP as your server IP and realmlist.wtf IP and made sure you could connect and play BEFORE changing your IPs to the online IP? If you didn’t try the Loop-back IP (127.0.0.1) first to see if every things functioning as it should be please try it now and see if it works.
Well I guess I’ll wait for your response before I continue… hope I covered enough… don’t want to make my post even more bulky lol. I like to try and get all questions answered before there even asked if you can’t tell. :) Let me know if you have any probs seeing my snapshots using rapidshare… its the only way I share them lol. I could try a different way though. Well let me know how it goes ok?
well it was easy untill iv encountered this problem where it says logging in game server and does nothing else but sit there loading?? and iv tried everything iv looked on forums and i havent YET to see anyone that has had this problem i have my ip and everything set up and i would like to roll on my own private server for some screenshots of experience but first i need my own server to work and as you know by now it doesnt actually allow me to log onto my private server its working i have my server turned on i got everything from dyndns done add host done all done but yet i log into my server it shows the character screen but no create character option and it sits there saying logging into game server……. would love to figure this out but unforunately i cant alone ( and would really appreciate the help)
Can’t see how everyone is having problems with Reaper-X’s really easy to follow guide… I had a few problem and I figured them out myself. I did a fresh install of Mangos 4651, then after 4703 was posted I upgraded to that (kept all my characters), and I just upgrade from 4703 to 4703 Mod a few hours ago. Ran into a few problems (because I tinkered with my server database a lot and moved a few things around and changed a few values here and there lol). But besides the problems I was having due to tinkering I don’t see how it could be so hard… I was a newb too when I started with 4651… but now I have a good feel on how things work.
Here’s a tip: Not everything is supposed to be followed EXACTLY word for word… in a few spots you should know what you have to do without being told. If you don’t install .NET framework towards the beginning you will encounter a few errors (which I didn’t see mentioned anywhere that I recall… but I installed it right away myself and found out that others that didn’t install it right away encountered problems relating to it). :)

Did you make sure that your IP in realmlist.wtf (inside your World of warcraft directory) matches the one you put in for your server IP? If your IPs do not match it will attempt to log in and will not actually log in. I found this out when I keep going from LAN to loop-back IP and forget to change my server IP and realmlist.wtf IP lol.
I also found out that if your IPs dont match that it will every once in a while log you in and show you your character list but no characters appear. If you click on change realm it will say the right amount of characters on that realm you would expect it to. It’s very weird if you ask me.
So what I’m getting at is that if your server and realmlist.wtf IPs don’t match you might see weird things or will not be able to log in or connect. Also make sure realmd and mangosd are running when you are trying to log in. :)
umm i have ben working on my own server iv gotten it to open to my server but when i log onto it, it says logging onto game server and it just sits there doing that and never actually logs me onto my server anyone know how i can fix this? would really appreciate the help

SD2 or ScriptDev2 is likely an fix for mangos…it doese some changes(in the god meaning) for instances and some other stuff.
As for the dbc u cand edit with Quice http://quice.sourceforge.net/?act=1
it is a very simple tool and u can change almost everything in there.
Ehm i got a problem with starting mangos like smldood had. When i start mongosd.exe i get that error message for itemextendedcast.dbc. Iv done what u told smldood to do. I rolled client back to 2.2.3 but its still missing. HELP plz.
Wow, i still cant figure this map problem out, LoL, i dont even know what the purpose of the 2 things in the mapextractor folder are for, seems all they do is create a folder named “maps” ? heh , also where am i supposed to put the vmaps and buildings folders? c:\program files\world of warcraft\data ? tried that even with “/”s instead, seems im missing a 004134?.map file (probably not the right number,)..

Great guide again, but I’m not a big fan of the -v Verbose command, anyway to turn it off? I know some people like it, but it takes much longer with that command on, and I’m a pretty impatient person when it comes to getting stuff working. Anyways, thanks again, I love the guide.

Hey, some quests of mine heave been aswards be my self lol, kind…put the names in moobs by use sql tools, put a weapon in they, even to set a spells, To anyone who dont know how to do it ( put skills) it’s just search in Db Cretures_template,later go in scriptname…in general is the last field in de colun, and then aply (by editing) the script gereic_creture, and ofcorse dot foget to put a spell in the creature in the same field…look for spell1, spell2 etc…ok.ok, but i’ve see that not all the magics and skills could be used by the creatures and i want’s to khow, why that? kindo of, inside of DB i could find the spell’s ids but theres is no name to follow, so how i should find out what spell and magic is each one of those that are in there????? it’s kind of hard. And in the ame way, once we are here talking about Db,the way to creatre custom weapons sould be???? create a template inside of weapons parametrer and then add directrely in the bag of a players????? in this point aim in the dark. Hey reaper, is a good guid u’he made, excelent work if u ask me ^^, but still i have some doubts that i like too ben asnwerd, like How exactli works a spcriptdev???? whats this anyway???? i mean wha is this in the trueth???? I have an idea but still reamains some quests about it, and from where i can operate it???? i use Mysql tolls this is a perfect tools to change the DB of the wow??? I’he starting a first contact whith the Db i must say i kynd of noob in this, kind of…i’ve done some changes in Db, in the list of id’s for a gm i made the name changes..ex: before was “illidan” and then “haxan”, but the name uphead of the moob continues to be illidan…form where i could change that????? if u realise a guid with the cordenates of what means each statments refered in Db it will be much more easy for a lot of peaple execute a lot of things in this wonderful emulator ^^. I glad i’he found u, and i work hard upon this, but still i need suport, if in the near future i could be this suport to anyone i’ll be glad, thanks to everyone.
hey reaper-x i have a problem myabe u can help i used to play on the Ascent server hey it was nice but to hard to up keep compaired to urs and had bugs with mounts was just way to fake feeling and gmcommands where in such long format but anyway i had custom items on it now i learnd to make em on mangos (Execute Queiry in Item_Template) and when i go ingame and use .additem 75000 (the item ID i made it) it gives me my old items i had (and yes i do have a NEW copy of MySQL) i had uninstalled and reinstalled b4 adding ur server any idea?
When I try to run realmd.exe and mangosd.exe its says it has failed to run because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Any idea how i can fix this?

Brent 2.3 is not supported yet
I don’t know if anyone has noticed or already covered this, but the spell id’s for the orb’s of translocation are backwards. In spell_teleport I swapped 35730 for 25649 and vice versa for the other and fixed that problem. If someone has already mentioned then disreguard this blurb.
How do I make the murloc costume work? I notice it refers to a spell 42365 which I can’t find. If this has already been covered can I get a link.
