Reaper Mangos Mod 4703 – Easy Custom WoW Mangos Private Server

This update is to those who are using my custom mangos release (or called Reaper Mangos Mod) and just like the previous 4651 Mod Version this Reaper Mangos Mod use the Jail Patch and Command patch so you can adjust your reputation easily, and also include Auction House Bot so there’ll always be auction on your server. Other than that two patch, in this release i’ve also include Custom Vendors created by D-Treize from Project Silvermoon forum (see screenshot below), that perhaps might be useful to those who want replacement for the custom vendor at GM Island (because this release use Unified Database and that GM Island vendor only available in Silvermoon DB only)
But first as a note, this release is geared towards to a more experienced mangos users, so if you’re still new to Mangos, i’d suggest you to grab the normal version instead (current normal version is at 4703 too)

IMPORTANT : If you’re upgrading from my 4651 MOD, you should download this updated batch file and overwrite the reaper-x-mangos.bat inside reaper-eazy-mangos directory with this one, btw i’d suggest you to get this one even if you’re not upgrading

Fresh Installation :
1. Extract DBC, VMaps and Maps (and oh i assume you’ve installed mysql and it’s working as it should)
2. Run the reaper-x-mangos.bat and write your mysql bin directory when prompted and then choose to install the database first
3. Choose option number 4 to configure the datadir and rate
4. Edit realmlist.wtf and replace :
set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com
into :
set realmlist 127.0.0.1
5. Start mangosd.exe and realmd.exe
6. Create new account using these commands :
- create myusername mypassword
- setbc myusername 1
- setgm myusername 3
and login :)
Upgrading from Reaper Mangos Mod 4651 :
1. Run reaper-x-mangos.bat
2. Choose option number 99 and wait until it finished (do not interrupt it or there’s a high chance you’ll lose your character data) .. or to be safe, create backup using the reaper-x-mangos.bat in this release and choose the appropiate option when prompted :)
3. Now choose option number 4 to reconfigure mangosd.conf … and don’t use the previous mangosd.conf because it has been changed, and then open the mangosd.conf manually and adjust your Auctionbot GUID and Character ID accordingly
4. Done :)
And as a side note, if you need help on moving your character data into this release from older Mangos revision (below and not equal to 4651) or worry about losing your character data … you can always email me directly and i’ll convert it for you :)
And here’s some new additional commands for you (GM Only) to use which is available in this release :
1. jail – Syntax: .jail character hours [reason]
To jail character of course :P
2. jailinfo – Syntax: .jailinfo
Shows your jail status
3. unjail – Syntax: .unjail character
Releases character out of the jail
4. pinfo rep | jail – Syntax: .pinfo [$player_name] [rep] | [jail]
Output account information for selected player or player find by player_name. If rep parameter provided show reputation information for player. If jail parameter provided show jail information for player
5. setrep (reputation) – Syntax: .setrep REPID REPVALUE
Sets the REPVALUE of the reputation with the REPID to the REPVALUE. You can use .pinfo rep to get known reputation ids
6. setap – Syntax: .setap VALUE
Sets the arena points to the VALUE (0-999999)
7. sethonor – Syntax: .sethonor VALUE
Sets the honor to the VALUE (0-999999)
8. ahexpire – Syntax: .ahexpire <house id> <player GUID>
ahexpire will expire all the auctions in the requested auction house with the player GUID as the owner
9. ahdelete – Syntax: .ahdelete <house id> <player GUID>
ahdelete will delete all the auctions in the requested auction house with the player GUID as the owner

erm reaper i have a problem on my Mangosd.exe it says Cannot connect to characte database 127.0.0.1;3306;mangos;mangos;characters PLZ HELP!!!!!
Please make a guide for 2.3.0! I can get everything done myself except the extracting the DB part..
Alright heres my story so before i had 4703 all working and stuff and i got really good at bein a gm and stuff but i wanted something a lil more so i came back here and downloaded the batch file for the custom one on here and replaced it with my batch file for the other one i had and when i tried to run the auction house bot thing on the batch file it just says like error 1045 access denied (using password: yes) ……well a lil something like that …. anyway how to fix that? or should i have done something else to get the vendors and stuff and the AH bot and stuff…. well thanks

I found a place for creating custom items, vendors, and all that stuff. Its a bit limited, because it gives you options and drop-bars and things like that, but it still works. There’s a section where it gives you the script, and make sure you get the mangos script. (Click on the Mangos thing.) oh and druids cant open honor
ok i got it working- but there are glitches i must fix asap!
1.Druids can’t open char stats or skills or else it gives me a WoWError
2.For setting the server up live- i cant find apache 1.0.3.7, please give me a link.
3.can you also give me a link to how to create custom items?
there is no error message, just whenever i try to log into the game server, it goes back to the server list

ok now i cant log into the game server, there is no error in mangosd.exe or realmd.exe so how do i fix it?

I figured out my own problem. When gm mode is on, mobs do not attack. Once I turned it off, mobs turned hostile.
type ‘.gm off’ and you should be all set.
I’m having this attack problem too. Most mobs are yellow, but behavior is the same on all:
unless I can 1 shot, auto attack shuts off and I only hit once, and the mob heals back to 100%. The mob never hits back.
I did not see anyone else on here with the same issue except for sess, and no replies about how to fix it yet.

unknown spell id 5302 when fighting Margol the Rager. He usually has like a lighting spell but not when I fought him.
hay after geting my server up and running and im looking for the custom vendor is there somthign specail i have to do becase theres no nps on gmisland and no vendors in silvermoon unless im looking in the wrong spot can anyone help me out ^_^
i got it working had to delete all sql stuff off my comp and restart from scratch
Do you still plan on releasing a version with the full PSDb(Project Silvermoon Db)? Or are you just gonna stick with what you’re building on?

as far as all you others about 2.3.0 mangos isnt that far yet… I am sure reaper-x will compile as soon as a 2.3.0 branch comes out…

Also reaper-x i did not tell you in my email but yet as Galleon said Ascent is at 2.3.0 and they almost have voice chat working (they said in the next branch it will be working fine)

Hi,
I created the server successfully and I can enter the game allright.
For my friends connecting via hamachi, they can login for no problem, but when they picked up the realm and tried to enter, after the message “logging in to game server” ,they were brought to the realm select window again…
could you teach me how to fix this plz.

hi reaper i’m really new to mangos world and i’m still not so good so i have some questions:
I have installed ”WoW Mangos 4488, ScriptDev2 134 with Project Silvermoon DB Rev17” with your guide and i want to know how to update untill this newer update and i have also a problem creating object (i use navicat) infact when i create the query on navicat and then when i try to additem in wow it says me invalid id or it create it as a questionmark item with durability only

Hey there. From what I can tell I did everything right. But I get stuck when I load mangosd.exe
It says “Some required *.dbc files not found or not compatible:
C:\wow\data/dbcithemexendedcost.dbc Wrong Cliend version DBC file?”
It stops at 96%
So I am not sure what I should do now? I am stuck.

Sooooo…any chance we gonna get an update to be compatable with client 2.3.0? Just curious cause I see the Ascent core has already got the update….I personally hate that core and prefer running off MaNGOS.

hey reaper, great compilation. everything is working very well when i have one character created on the server. When i create a second character on the same account, or create a second account, then i come to the character select screen and i have no characters there. I am using the newest version 4703 mod. Also, on the view realmlist it shows that i have X amount of characters that i randomly created on the server, but it does not show up at character selection screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
P.S sorry about the type errors, is was kind of annoyed when i wrote that.
I have got lots of DBC errors when i run mangosd e.g. Some required *.dbc files not found or not compatibe:
C:\wow\data/dbc/AreaTable.dbc ,exist, but have 24 fields insted 37> wrong client version DBC file? ect. ect. (this happens for ALL the DBC files. HELP!! (hehe)
im doing it from the start and i still get the same problem -.- it says not able to connect. got any advice?

well i change the port in the realmd.conf but now it doesnt say unable to connect its stuck at connecting. when opening the mangosd.bat it does show that the server is up somehow.

That error message appear because there’s another program using the same port as your realmd process, to fix it :
open realmd.conf and change the default port (3724) into another value :)

Could you tell me what’s your wow version ? and have you tried deleting the CACHE directory in your wow installation folder ;)

Try changing the realmd port into another value first, because usually it was caused by port conflict (especially realmd, because it was using the same port used by blizzard updater)
When using the mangos config editor in the reaper-x-mangos thing, after inputing the explore exp rate i got the message:’Access is denied.’ 5 times
and when i try to run the mangosd.exe i get the messages:
‘Could not connect to MySQL database at 127.0.0.1: can’t create TCP/IP socket(10050)’(realmd got this same message)
‘Cannot connect to world database 127.0.0.1;3306;mangos;mangos;mangos’

correct .map files not found in path ‘c:\program files\world of warcraft\data\stuff/maps’ or .vmap/.vmdir files in ‘c:\program files\world of warcraft\data\stuff/vmaps’. please place .map/.vmap/.vmdir files in appropriate directories or correct the datadir value in the mangosd.conf file.
or whatever there are 2 things to try, one is to use these DBC files:

I updated from 4651 but i have to add jail table to charactermod database, and update jail_conf table from /OriginalSQL directory.
I got a little problem here…
I start Realmd.exe and Mangosd.exe, and in Mangosd.exe i got a error that says: Some required *.dbc files ( 1 from 39 )not found or compatible: D:\Data/dbc/ItemExtendedCost.dbc (exist but have 14 fields instead of 13)Wrong client version DBC file?
