Reaper Mangos Mod 4703 – Easy Custom WoW Mangos Private Server

This update is to those who are using my custom mangos release (or called Reaper Mangos Mod) and just like the previous 4651 Mod Version this Reaper Mangos Mod use the Jail Patch and Command patch so you can adjust your reputation easily, and also include Auction House Bot so there’ll always be auction on your server. Other than that two patch, in this release i’ve also include Custom Vendors created by D-Treize from Project Silvermoon forum (see screenshot below), that perhaps might be useful to those who want replacement for the custom vendor at GM Island (because this release use Unified Database and that GM Island vendor only available in Silvermoon DB only)
But first as a note, this release is geared towards to a more experienced mangos users, so if you’re still new to Mangos, i’d suggest you to grab the normal version instead (current normal version is at 4703 too)

IMPORTANT : If you’re upgrading from my 4651 MOD, you should download this updated batch file and overwrite the reaper-x-mangos.bat inside reaper-eazy-mangos directory with this one, btw i’d suggest you to get this one even if you’re not upgrading

Fresh Installation :
1. Extract DBC, VMaps and Maps (and oh i assume you’ve installed mysql and it’s working as it should)
2. Run the reaper-x-mangos.bat and write your mysql bin directory when prompted and then choose to install the database first
3. Choose option number 4 to configure the datadir and rate
4. Edit realmlist.wtf and replace :
set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com
into :
set realmlist 127.0.0.1
5. Start mangosd.exe and realmd.exe
6. Create new account using these commands :
- create myusername mypassword
- setbc myusername 1
- setgm myusername 3
and login :)
Upgrading from Reaper Mangos Mod 4651 :
1. Run reaper-x-mangos.bat
2. Choose option number 99 and wait until it finished (do not interrupt it or there’s a high chance you’ll lose your character data) .. or to be safe, create backup using the reaper-x-mangos.bat in this release and choose the appropiate option when prompted :)
3. Now choose option number 4 to reconfigure mangosd.conf … and don’t use the previous mangosd.conf because it has been changed, and then open the mangosd.conf manually and adjust your Auctionbot GUID and Character ID accordingly
4. Done :)
And as a side note, if you need help on moving your character data into this release from older Mangos revision (below and not equal to 4651) or worry about losing your character data … you can always email me directly and i’ll convert it for you :)
And here’s some new additional commands for you (GM Only) to use which is available in this release :
1. jail – Syntax: .jail character hours [reason]
To jail character of course :P
2. jailinfo – Syntax: .jailinfo
Shows your jail status
3. unjail – Syntax: .unjail character
Releases character out of the jail
4. pinfo rep | jail – Syntax: .pinfo [$player_name] [rep] | [jail]
Output account information for selected player or player find by player_name. If rep parameter provided show reputation information for player. If jail parameter provided show jail information for player
5. setrep (reputation) – Syntax: .setrep REPID REPVALUE
Sets the REPVALUE of the reputation with the REPID to the REPVALUE. You can use .pinfo rep to get known reputation ids
6. setap – Syntax: .setap VALUE
Sets the arena points to the VALUE (0-999999)
7. sethonor – Syntax: .sethonor VALUE
Sets the honor to the VALUE (0-999999)
8. ahexpire – Syntax: .ahexpire <house id> <player GUID>
ahexpire will expire all the auctions in the requested auction house with the player GUID as the owner
9. ahdelete – Syntax: .ahdelete <house id> <player GUID>
ahdelete will delete all the auctions in the requested auction house with the player GUID as the owner

So Now it’s almost works!i mean mangosd.exe..all goes right but when it’s 100% done there reads: Mangos have located error, and it must close.We are sorry about this. :’( so u know how to fix that problem?

ah no actually if you want to use flying mount in azeroth you can only use it if there’s no loading screen appear when you’re teleporting from outland (because flying mount is checked via the client not from the server process) :(
currently i only found that if you teleport to silvermoon from outland, you don’t get that loading screen
step to use it :
1. go to outland, and mount your fav flying mount
2. type .tele silvermoon and done :)

Yeah I have found my error and it was that whole replacing that .bat file you had updated over the one that was given in your original package. Thanks for the help, your guides are always excellent!
Also did you have to edit the mangossd or realm config files to allow flying pets (like that netherdrake you had) in azeroth?
And I noticed above you said you had to do quests to learn the taming and such and these are the codes to learn all of them if you find any need for them

dear reaper-x i really need help i like the sound of this emulator but it says i have entered an incorrect password i typed same thing set in mysql a post on how i could fix this would be very nice thank you
ok so i have a problem and i hope you can help me fix it. On step 5 when i open mangosd it comes up and starts working then it gets 96% done and it gives me an error saying:
“Some required *.dbc files not found or not compatible:
ItemExtentedCost.dbc (exist, but have 14 fields instead 13) Wrong client version DBC file.
Please help, im almost done…

Yes, unfortunately for now the only solution is to roll back to 2.2.3 (or wait for new release) because well even if i was able to connect with 2.3.0 the WoW client itself is going to crash right after selecting your character :(

Hello Galleon, actually the GM Island custom vendor is directly extracted from the Silvermoon database because it seems that some people love that custom vendor ;)

Ah it seems that you’re using WoW 2.3.0 client which is still not supported yet, the only solution for now is to roll back into 2.2.3 :)

If mangos crash right after it finished loading, it seems that you’re trying to use restored data :)
try open the mangosd.conf and disable the auctionbot first
look at my previous post for more info on how to disable auctionbot (look right after the fresh installation guide)

I have a question, when I run mangosd.exe, it loads the DBC I downladed normally, but when it finishes it and it’s reade to type at
mangos>
It appears a frame about sending Error log or debug. and I click Do not send, and the program closes. What can I do???
will 2.0.0.6080 work?
because the bliz updater just jumps to 2.3 and i cant find any patches that have 2.0.0.6080-2.2.3

Well I hate to bug you again but I have tried and tried to upgrade to the latest version and I keep coming back to the same issue. I get the upgrade or full install to complete successfully but when I reload the character data it doesn’t work. I have looked at the results after the restore process and it restores accounts and I believe partial data.(using SQLyog) I say partial data since i can log on with old accounts, but when i get to character screen nothing is visible. However when I pick select realm the list will show the realm, and that the characters exist(qty number) but the character screen shows nothing. I have tried std and custom full or upgrade to no avail. I have also tried to use older versions of the bat file to pull data but all accomplish the same results. Perhaps you might have an Idea as to what direction to go with this issue.

Um, i’m at the very last step and my bad luck strikes again so i really hope you can help me…When i open the mangosd.exe it starts up ok but then after Initiaze data stores it =96% and tells me this:
Some required .dbc files (1 from 39) not found or not compatible: C:\wowz\data\enus/dbc/ItemExtendedCost.dbc(Exist but have 14 fields instead 13)

Actually I thought I had deleted everything and just installed the custom wow version from your script and the GM island vendors. I have custom vendors in stormwind and in Org as well. Is that from your custom install or is it still loading from the silvermoon DB somehow?

Unfortunately the only way to play with mangos currently is only by reverting to the previous 2.2.3 patch :(
As a side note, actually i have tried to made some changes so i can bypass the changes made to the dbc file that was introduced in patch 2.3.0 … and although it works and i was able to login and select my character, but right after i choose my character the WoW process crash to desktop and ask me to send the error report (obviously i’m not going to send it) :P .. and this happen even with just a newly created character
and just in case you want to revert to 2.2.3 but still keep the new 2.3.0 (which is useful especially to those who also plays on official server too) :
- Create a duplicate copy of your entire WoW game installation directory
- Set the realmlist.wtf in one of the new directory you’ve created to the official server address
- And revert the copy on another directory to WoW 2.2.3
and by doing that you’ll still able to play on official server while keeping the 2.2.3 install at the same time

Ah .. actually if you plan on using this version too and restoring your character data from my normal version, you’ll need to :
1. Do a fresh installation (don’t worry your normal mangos database is still safe becauset this version use new database) of this custom release
2. Choose to backup character using the reaper-x-mangos.bat included with the normal release
3. Copy the backup-char.sql and backup-realmd.sql into the reaper eazy mangos directory in Reaper Mangos Mod 4703
4. Run the reaper-x-mangos.bat from Mod 4703 and choose restore
5. Choose option 4 to adjust the mangosd.conf on this release
6. open mangosd.conf and disable auction house bot because you’re restoring your character data
7. Look at my previous post about this custom version to see on how to configure the auction bot (it also tell you on how to disable auction bot) … look right after the fresh installation guide :)

It can be done but unfortunately … you’ll need to edit the character database manually :(
all you have to do is just set the at_login column for the character you’re going to remove the flag into 0

QUESTIONS FOR PATCH 2.3.0:
It is released, it released today for US and GB. Both of part 2 were done and so was the finishing files to install patch 2.3.0. I assure you that it is live. Now, how long will it take mangos??? I think a good week becasue of the guild banks unless they decide to skip this issue.

I do have a question. A couple of my GMs were trying to rename a character and one typed .rename, this flag the player’s name. How do I unflag the name? They now can’t use the name…Any help would be great.

hey, great work. ive been using your past release (4651), but when i try to upgrade to this new one, i get the error message:
ERROR 1133 (42000) at line 3: Can’t find any matching row in the user table
ERROR 1049 (42000): Unknown database ‘mangosmod’

Did you set the Console Level logging to 3 ? (if you didn’t use the reaper-x-mangos.bat to adjust the datadir and edit the original mangosd.conf manually, the Console Logging level is set to 3 and it’ll show you everything because 3 is for debug purpose) :)

2. Do you mean the .tele command ? or the .goname ? or the .namego ?
.tele orgrimmar : teleport you to orgrimmar
.goname charactername : teleport you to the character name
.namego charactername : recall someone to your position (i usually use this lol) :P
3. Ah .. actually if you’re doing fresh installation, it’ll be preconfigured automatically .. but if you’re restoring your character data, and overwrite the preconfigured character data, then you need to get the character id and it’s guid first
you can check my previous post on how to configure it manually :) (look right after the fresh installation guide)

Could you tell me are you trying to create backup for your old character data from 4651 ? if so .. all you have to do is just :
1. Choose the option to backup (2)
2. When prompted if you’re using my release, answer no
3. When prompted if you’re using revision 4664 and above answer no
4. When prompted for username and password (you can use root as the username with your root password) .. or use mangosmod (user) mangosmod (password)
and then, when asked for your mangos database name write mangosmod and when asked for your realm database name write realmdmod
that’s it :)
and yes, that is originally two handed weapon but i modified it (not overwriting the original weapon but duplicating it) … and also adjust the stat bonus, spell bonus, etc :D … btw i’m currently working on writing guide about that one :)

as for your question, actually if you see that text displayed from your browser instead of actual page that mean you haven’t configured the apache to parse php file correctly, if you’re having problem with configuring apache to parse php file correctly, you can download the sample httpd.conf included on my guide about installing apache with php

.lookupskill and .setsk
for example
.lookupskill enchanting (to get the id)
.setsk 333 300 (Max Value for your current profession level)

I juat have a question regarding vendor npcs. I do the .lookupcreature vendor and it displays all the vendors, but when I .addspw the vendore ID nothing happens and in the mangosd script window I get the following errors…
Error: creature entry 41324 does not exist.
Error: creature entry 41310 does not exist.
Error: creature entry 41310 does not exist.
Error: creature entry 41311 does not exist.
Is there a way to get all these entries into the DB manually? Also the couple vendors that do spawn I cannot interact with.

Was wondering what my little issue is here all of the sudden with this release?
Also i noticed in one of your screen shots you were duel weilding i think 2 handed weaponry and you had a netherdrake mount in silvermoon…and if i recall correctly it was under the UDB database? i was wondering how you did that and made your base stats (Str, Int, Dex, Dmg) so insane with being level 70. Cause I could find some nice use for those features…Thanks and i look forward to your 2.3 server releases!

hey reaper,
figured out what was wrong with the hunter bug i had… it was the emu perse’.. somehow i corrupted part of my database. i reinstalled the core dbc files and now it works fine. my bad, i should have checked that b 4 posting.
but, the pets are still humouresly tiny. I can deal with that until i find the taming script call to change the adjusted size.
Great job on the emu, works a LOT better than ppl give it credit. keep up the great work!!
