   i tried everything,
   reinstall wow,
   get other versions and stuff
   but everytime i get an empty map :s, plz help :(

   Greetings and congrats on yet another fine guide.
   I have been using Unified Database for quite some time and attempting to make the switch to Silvermoon. However, everytime I do so, I encounter one problem which forces me to switch back. Guard NPC’s in all major cities crash the Mangosd.exe
   Would you happen to have any ideas on how to fix this?

   hey reaper i got server runnign for about 4 hours was awsome was so proud ;*) THEN. . . . deep breath this is a long error i got this about my wow client or soemthing and to send it to blizzard i didnt tho thinking would be something bad so here it is:

   I put my weapon sql in the mysql -umangos -pmangos -D mangos MYWEAPONNAME.sql and it works alll good and stuff but then i look it up and not there. Help me plz!

    I have got a problem. every time i open mangosd and realmd,an error happens.This is wat it says(it popped out the 1st time i opened it):

    mangosd.exe – Unable To Locate Component

    “The application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.”

    Its running. I went into the CMD and ran it, entered my password and typed connect; It told me the connection id was 6 and that the current database is ****NONE****. Other than that I have no idea where to even look to find out if its looking for connections.

    Like on the other version, when i try to create my account, once i open mangosd it says a lot of stuff like:

    Could not find vmap file ‘C:\data1/vmaps/000_43_31.vmdir’

    and that kind of thing…

    I think there’s problem with the mysql service somewhere, i’d suggest you to take a look at the *.err file inside your mysql installation directory (if you didn’t change the mysql data location)

    It is using SHA1 (not normal SHA1 of course because it’s using CONCAT and UPPER)

    Ah it seems that you’re using the old dbc files, i’d suggest you to re-extract the dbc files again using the DBC Extractor provided in this release (actually i always include all the necessary tools to extract it) :)

    I figured out how to fix the random teleporting in orgrimmar. areatrigger_template entry 4801 is causing this, when removing target_map coordinates for entry 4801 it’s fixed.

    Wow…Reper your guide is very good indeed. Thank you. But in the silvermoon database, as someone already stated, there is an invisible teleport to the back/left of the bank that takes you to a forest I think it’s called ashara crater or something.     When I run mangosd.exe and realmd.exe it give me an error, MSVCR71.dll was not found. I noticed someone else had this problem and fixed it but they didn’t say how they did.

    Hey Reaper. I setup my private server last night, and it was all working fine, now when I’ve turned on my PC this morning, it’s not. The apache service is running correctly, and I can type “localhost” in a browser and see the correct page, but when I load “realmd.exe” and “mangosd.exe” I get the error: ERROR 2003 : Can’t connect to MySWL server on ‘localhost’ . When I encountered this error I opened up cmd.exe and hit “MySQL -u root -p”, entered my password and got the same error: ERROR 2003 : Can’t connect to MySWL server on ‘localhost’ . Any ideas?

    You need to create the data folder yourself.
    It can be pretty much anywhere.

    Personally I like to keep my mangos-related files in their own subfolder of Programs. An example of this would be “C:\Program Files\Reaper\data\”.

    Next, copy the ad.exe and extract-map.bat into your World of Warcraft installation folder (should be something like “C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\”), and run the bat file from there.
    After that is finished (and it will take a while) you move the map folder into the data folder you created earlier.

    Be sure to remember the path to your data folder because you will need it during the installation. :)

    for some reason when I run the extract-map.bat or the ad.exe it just throws up a command window for like one second and then thats it. It does create a maps folder but it is empty. Was I supposed to run then from the default folder they are in or copy them over to somewhere else and then run them?

    I have found the msql.exe in the diskw/local/usr/msql/bin so thats what im going to try to use when im setting it up can somone download the server files i got and see if they can config it/ because on the one i got the 2.1.3 one when i summon any of the netherdrakes like onyx my character is faster and can fly but no drake.
