Mangos 4602, ScriptDev2 145 with Unified Database 0.7.5 CS319 work with WoW 2.1.3 to 2.2.3

Time for another Mangos release again :) … this time the Mangos revision used is 4602 with ScriptDev2 145, and as a warning that although you can play it using WoW Client version 2.2.x (such as WoW 2.2.0, 2.2.2, and 2.2.3), but it’s still not officially supported, so expect something to behave strange for example, hidden teleport in Orgrimmar when you are using WoW 2.2.x client. Although there’s already a fix for it, but since i prefer to distribute a clean compiled version without adding custom patch (such as database, script, mangos core), i decided not to include it :)
Things to note in this version :
1. I decided not to include the Project Silvermoon Database because Project Silvermoon Database website is down (it has been several days if i remembered it correctly)
2. No custom vendor on GM Island (because this is using Unified Database only, and custom vendor which is available on GM Island can only be found in Project Silvermoon database)
3. As for feeding pet … i’m not to sure on how to test it (seriously, because i never play on official server, though i wish i could play too)
That’s it … and now here are the steps :
Requirements :
Update : Reaper Mangos 4629 with ScriptDev2 150 and Dual Database has been released :)
1. MySQL (link to my previous post on how to install mysql)
2. Mangos + Database :
Mangos 4602 + Scriptdev2 145 with Unified Database 0.7.5 Changeset 319 | 9.36 MB | MegauploadMangos 4602 + Scriptdev2 145 with Unified Database 0.7.5 Changeset 319 | 9.36 MB | Rapidshare
Optional :
- DBC Files extracted from WoW 2.2.3 enUS Client | 2.59 MB (if you prefer the easiest way without extracting the DBC Files first by yourself)
Fresh Installation Guide (follow this if you’re planning on installing Mangos for the first time) :
1. Extract Maps, Vmaps and dbc files from WoW Client
2. Extract the self extracting archive somewhere, or you can just simply run it and choose to extract into the current directory (don’t worry it’ll create the ReaperMangos4602 folder automatically)
3. Run the reaper-x-mangos.bat inside the reaper-eazy-mangos directory / folder, and you’ll be greeted with this screen, and all you have to do is just write the full path to your mysql installation directory (or where mysql.exe and mysqldump.exe can be found) ;)
4. After finished writing the full path to your mysql installation directory, now you just need to choose option #1 to install the database for you and when prompted for your root password, you just need to write your mysql root password (remember the mysql installation ?) ;)
5. After finished with the above process, now you just need to choose option #4, and adjust each option accordingly (the most important thing is your Datadir location)
6. Now you need to go into your World of Warcraft Installation directory and open the realmlist.wtf file using notepad and then change these lines :
set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com
into :
set realmlist 127.0.0.1
7. Now run mangosd.exe and realmd.exe
8. The first thing you should do of course create a new account for you, and this can be done by typing create username password in the mangosd window as shown on below image
But a normal account can be boring of course, so we need to configure our username to be a GM, and this can be done by simply typing setgm username 3 (the highest level of course, so you can do anything you want in your server) :P … and done :)
Upgrading from 4577 or below version (note: i only test it from Mangos 4488++ so if you’re using any version lower than 4488, i can’t give you any support)
1. Run the reaper-x-mangos.bat, and then go with option #99 and wait until finished
2. Then choose to backup your database
3. After finished with the backup process now you just need to choose the first option to install the database
4. Now you just need to choose the restore option
5. For the last step you just need to continue with configuring datadir (If you’re using ReaperMangos4577 previously, you just need to copy the previous mangosd.conf and realmd.conf into ReaperMangos4602 directory and done) :)

my sql server says thre is syntax error.. and cant repair :( pls help
hello, wondering if you could help me with something. So I’m able to run the MySQL correctly but when I run Realmd it says something to the lines of “incorrect password, access denied to (name) @ 127.0.0.1:mangos:mangos:realmd” it also does the same thing for when I double-click on Mangos.exe. Any help on this would be appreciated, Thanks.

No, don’t download that file because it was made for someone who’s having problem with mangosd not running
as for you :
first i’d suggest you to get the 4651 release instead :)
and about the msvcr71.dll, you can download it from here and then put it in the same directory where mangosd.exe and realmd.exe reside

I have this error when i try to open mangosd.exe and realmd.exe : application has failed to start because msvcr71.dll was not found re-installing the application may fix it.

try running this query from the command prompt (because your character data corrupted) :
1. Open command prompt
2. type :
mysql -umangos -pmangos -D mangos
REPAIR TABLE `character`;
quit
and done
btw since this is the first time i hear someone got their character table crashed … i’d like to know how many players you have in your server actually ? :)

We’ve been pretty successful with most aspects of our server. Our big issues is portals. We can’t use any portals. Whether is a clicking portal, or a portal that leads into an instance, none of them are working. The only instances we can use atm are the ones that have .tele locations that go directly into the instances themselves. Any help or info available is appreciated. Thanks for your work.
I seem to have gotten it working, uninstalling 4.1 and installing mysql 5.0 fixed it. Thanks for all the help!
I removed all the old files and did everything again (the extractors and reaper-x-mango.bat) making sure to choose option 1 first and I still get the error (SQL ERROR: Table ‘realm.realmlist’ doesn’t exist). could this be because I only have MySQL version 4.1?
my mangos and mysql install fine but when i try and get in to the game it says incorrect password or username but ive made one for myself but it still don’t work how do i fix this problem so i can make a character on my server

Could you tell me, were you able to locate that file directly using windows search function ? .. if you can’t found that file using windows search function that mean you didn’t extract the vmaps correctly and need to start all over again (the vmaps extraction process) by deleting the vmaps, and buildings directory first

i have a question when to down load the new update where do you put that file to get it to link into the old one do you copy and paste them into the file you have the old one cuase i tryed that with the last patch and had to redo complete fresh intallation pleaseee help also is there a way to add brew fest or the fairs they have like in the real wow or do they create them from the object files cause i cant figure what they do ty great job reaper and all who help on this site
i have a slight problem; step one: when i have to extract the maps, the box that shows you that your extracting them only flashes up, and it creates an empty folder named ‘maps’, and later in the installation, it says it cant find the folder with the extraccted maps in, im so confused!
PLS someone help me!!! I can’t extract the maps, because I can’t find anywhere the file (extract-map.bat) I search for it everywhere but I can’t find it! Please someone give me a link!

I have created 3 blood elv with different class without any problem at all :(
btw have you tried using the latest 4629 ?
as a side note, actually i don’t really have any problem with blood elv even with the older release, so i’m guessing that’s more into OS problem
for example, someone who’s running Vista often experience mangosd process crash when talking to guard but i can’t reproduce that (im running XP SP2 update till december 2006)

Hey, I did everything perfectly, but the last minute shocked me.
As I open realmd and mangosd Mangosd gives me an error message:::
You have _outdated_ DBC files. Please extract correct versions from current using client.
I’ve already tried re-extracting them, but same message. Can someone please E-MAIL me the answer!

im running mangos 4602, installed the server fine, no problems on installing it.
everything works but the bloodelves. everytime you log onto a bloodelf it crashes wow, with error 132 violation access error. expansion works fine, outlands work fine, all outlands instances and expansion instances work excelent.
its just once a bloodelf loads the game crashes, any chance on helping??? all TBC is set correctly

First of all, steller guide Reaper-X. Installation went smooth as a whistle. Having fun with GM powers.
Maybe this is the wrong place to post this question. I notice that nearly all of the NPC characters have an odd characteristic: They float. Not all of the time. When they go into a walking animation, they’re back on the “ground”. But the minute they stop, they “pop” back off the ground. Then they move and return to the ground and then “pop” back. Anyone else have this problem or can point me out to the right place?

Trying to reinstall wow from scratch now. starting off with the first 5 cd’s of wow, on the fifth cd, it goes into : error. couse a repair file isnt big enough or some bullshit, anyone knows why, oh how i hate this computer..

Found a work around for the feed pet problem. Use the GM command ” .learn 1539 ” to get the feed pet effect spell. Just use this spell instead of the normal feed pet spell. The effect of this spell is a little slower then normal but it works. Just use it whenever you get the chance too.

Thanks for the suggestion, but moving the data folders did not make a difference.
When I try to change the weather with the .wchange command, it just keeps telling me:
Weather can’t be changed for this zone.
So, am I really the only one with this issue? It works for you?

You need to put ur maps, vmaps, and dbc folders into your C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\data. Also change your config (press #1 in reaper-eazy-mangos.batch i believe) and change the Directory in which the folders (maps,vmaps,dbc) are in to C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\data. Good Luck. :)

If it says a map is missing you either do not have the BC expansion installed when you made the maps or you are not getting all maps because you do not have the correct wow patch installed.

Try logging in as a GM and use the cammand wchange
wchange,”Syntax: .wchange #weathertype #status Set current weather to #weathertype with an intensity of #status. #weathertype can be 1 for rain, 2 for snow, and 3 for sand. #status can be 0 for disabled, and 1 for enabled.”
This will tell you if its working or not.
Erm, what I meant is that in my mangosd.conf I have this:
# Activate weather system
# Default: 1 (true)
# 0 (false)
ActivateWeather = 1
But it’s simply not happening.

Weather definitely is enabled in the WoW preferences, but I haven’t had any rain or mist for a while now and it is worrying me.
Is this happening to anyone else? Any idea how to fix it?
Reaper or anyone, i have come to the stage where i should open mangosd and realmd, but when i open them mangosd shows: after WORLD (three times)

Also, is it supposed after u write 4 in the menu a couple of stages before, that you get “Item drop rate” up?
