Mangos 4577, ScriptDev2 140 with PSDB and UDB work with WoW 2.1.3 to 2.2.3

Another WoW Mangos Release, and this time the WoW Client Supported is from WoW 2.1.3 into 2.2.3, but please note that currently the Mangos team still hasn’t fully support the 2.2.x client yet so you might see various opcodes related message being displayed on your mangosd window. Though it doesn’t really affect the gameplay itself, because i have tested this release with the newly released WoW 2.2.3 and … so far everything is working (unless it’s database related of course)
Anothing thing to note is, if you get various database related error message such as Item (Entry: xxxx) have wrong (not-existed) spell in spellid_1 … and so on when you run the mangosd.exe process, you can just safely ignore that message … because i also get that message but still the mangosd server process is still up and running and i can play just fine ;) … and no … mangosd process isn’t crash even when i talked to city guard in various place :P
As a lasy note, this new release contain two database from Project Silvermoon and Unified Database so you can switch between those two database freely and decided it by yourself which database is good for you

Okay and here are the steps …
Requirements :
Update : Mangos 4602 has been released :)
- MySQL (required in order for Mangos to work)

Fresh Installation :
1. Extracting VMaps, Maps, DBC and configuring it (to make thing easier, i’ve created a separate guide for it)
2. Extract the self extracting 7–zip archive somewhere, or you can choose to extract it in current directory. And you’ll get ReaperMangos4577 Folder
3. Go inside the reaper-eazy-mangos directory and then run the reaper-x-mangos.bat , and you’ll be prompted with this screen :
All you have to do is just write the full path into your MySQL bin directory (where mysql.exe can be found)
Note : The above step is important, if you don’t write the correct path you’ll get problem later
4. Now you just need to choose option number 1 (Install), and insert your mysql root password when prompted)
5. Now you need to configure which database you’re going to use in your Mangos Installation, in this release i have included Project Silvermoon Database and Unified Database. In below example, i choose the Unified database
As a side note, you don’t need to worry about choosing the correct database because you can always switch it later even if you already created your character with full set equipment. I choose to include 2 database so you can pick which one perform best for you
6. When you’ve finished the above process, now you just need to choose option number 4 to configure your mangos installation
If you follow my previous post about the Maps, VMaps and DBC extraction guide … you can just simply write C:\wow\data when prompted for your data directory. As for the rest (adjusting the rate) i think it’s self explained :)
7. Go to your WoW installation directory and open the realmlist.wtf file
and change the realmlist into using this one :
set realmlist 127.0.0.1
8. Run mangosd.exe and realmd.exe
9. Create new account as shown like below image for an example :
10. Done :)
Switching Database or Upgrading :
1. Run reaper-x-mangos.bat and then choose to backup your character
2. Now choose the first option (Install / Upgrade) and continue with the step until you get back to the main menu
3. Choose the third option (Restore Backup) and you’re done with switching / upgrading database
To those who’s upgrading from my previous release
4. Choose the fourth option (Mangos Config Editor) to adjust your datadirectory, and if you already configured your server to be accessible from LAN then you’ll also need to choose the fifth option to adjust your realmlist again
Here’s a screenshot taken using Unified Database (and yep i almost die there even with Custom Weapon that gives all stats plus 1000 bonus) :P

Forgot to tell you this, but just in case you want to try my character that is usually shown on my screenshots, i also included my backup character for you to use :) … all you have to do right after installing the database, just choose the restore backup option
Note: If you choose to restore my character backup directly you’ll lose all your character data
The username to login using my test character is Reaper and password is reaper .. enjoy ;)

As far as I can tell the installtion went just fine. After looking at the accounts tables i can see all the accounts listed however when start up the client and attempt to connect it fails giving me the following error.
Accepting connection from ‘5.42.194.86:4208′
SQL: SELECT `I`,`id`,`locked`,`last_ip`,`online` FROM `account` WHERE `username`
= ‘CALAMEAR’
query ERROR: Unknown column ‘I’ in ‘field list’
I have checked the passwords on the restored accounts and even tied to make new accounts with no luck. Has anyone one else had this issue?

when i run mangosd and realmd mangos tells me thats its missing a vmap file, and when i looked in the vmap folder it was empty, how do i fix??
#B regarding your system tellin you u dont have tBC installed go check the mangosd.exe promt i believe there is a setting there to tell the game if this user has tBC or not. give it a try.

do you have GM mode ON, if that’s the case u can talk or kill things unless i pretty much 1 hit em. do .gm off
can you make a list for what sql table for what purpose. So that if there is any bugs comes up in the game then we can modify the mysql db and try to fix it ?
ok and i have lots of problems with talking to alot the NPCs and i cant seem to kill anything…its like my toon isnt actually on my server……i shot or attack something and the creature stands there and their hp doesnt decrease nor do they move at all….

dude im confused but for some reason its telling me that i dont have TBC installed?? i went to .tele Honorhold and it comes up saying i have to have TBC expansion installed when i already do……

ok, kinda an update; i read the .bat file

and figured out what it was supposed to be doing while it was idling . . . so i tried to do it in SQLyog, but i got this error
Error Code: 1064 – You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘SET @OLD_CHARACTER_SET_RESULTS=@@CHARACTER_SET_RESULTS */’ at line 1
i know this isnt the way it was intended to be done, but i didnt know what else to do . . . is there another way to do it or do i need to reinstall MySQL or what? I have no idea.
Heya i have a couple problems and i raeally need help!
1.It says it cant connect to database or mysql and i put in the right path.
2.When i was 1st setting up and it asked for the password for mysql i didnt have one (( after i dwnloaded mysql it didnt even do anything or run ))
3.im confused and need help..=(
hmm did that and they were the same id number… oh and do you know how to copy items and paste them to create like an upgraded version while still keeping the original one, using sqlyog?
thank you for the nice repack, the following is the only questions i have, is there a way to get the voice chat to work? on a couple of foums there has been mention of haveing to enable in the mangosd.cong file, but that file did come with your repack. the other question is, what happened to project silver moon, i have rev 18, i was going to go back to get 18.5 but the site isnt working at the moment, if you have a like to down load rev 18.5 can you please post it.

Im pretty sure the 18.5 psdb has the food fix already. I have the db, but havn’t had time to update to try. I’ve been working on compiling on my own both the server and the scripts.

I got so far that i could run mangos.exe and all other things were set up.
But where I did not have any problems before now I get the following message when Mangos is loading items. Message says: Error in ‘item_template’ table, probably sql format was updated (there should be 138 fiels in sql). What should I do now?

yeah guys, per my last post; im still unable to import my database. it still hangs on
“Please wait, it’ll take a while to import the database”
im getting no hard drive access, and no processor access.
Confirmed enough wait time (9 hrs +)
confirmed that MySQL is running and i have enough free memory :(
Confirmed that it isnt a database issue, for i have tried this with 3 other databases with the same results :(

I read in another of your posts where you linked to wow-v for item creation, but I’ve been completely unable to find (anywhere) a spec for the 48 space delimited fields of the [item_instance.data] field. everytime i go to the emerald dream mangos freezes and then crashes after about 10 minutes is that normal? and thanks for the unified database it is much better than the silvermoon one though i do miss having gm island spawned :)

I ran ad.exe from the command prompt, it runs to 100% and exits fine. No errors. I have 3492 map files in my map folder, yet 0004331.map doesn’t exist.

No matter wat i do, no matter wat database it is, the instances dont work.
Monsters dont aggro rite, dont use their abilites properly – just auto atk basically.
Same goes with ANY boss, phases dont work, they just sit there taking the dmg and auto atking.
WTF going on its so frustrating :<<<<

sorry i didnt saw your comment before (that crash thing) btw … i just tested talking to undercity guards … without problem .. and mangos still up and running in the background … so i assume that is not related to mangos itself

The updates folder is to those who want to update their database manually using mysql command :) .. if you just want the easiest way you can use the batch file included

If you can’t locate that file, i guess the extraction process didn’t finished, try deleting the maps folder and re-run the ad.exe ;)

Try comparing the displayid from psdb with the udb (import the udb dump into another database and compare it) :)

OK, so I have extract the maps 3 times using Ad.exe, I still get this error. The folder where the maps are “D:\wow\data\maps” is correct but I did a search for the file there and before I moved the folder and it doesn’t exist. I have 2.2.3 wow installed and that’s where I am running Ad.exe. Any ideas?

No boss fights are happening as they shld, am i missing something?

Food fix (food types) from udb forum works in psdb.
This fixes feeding the pets.

Do I use the reaper-x-mangos.bat in the reaper-eazy-mangos folder and select my database?
I have notice there is a “Updates” folder as well full of SQL files. Do I need to do anything with these to update the database? And how?
OR is the mangos database already fully updated and I dont need to worry bout updating it myself?

Everything is working great except on my friends rogue he uses Merciless Gladiator’s Left Ripper which is not displaying correctly, I’m using the psdb
