and secondly, I'm still trying to get my server up. I'm at step 11 or 12. I run Mangosd.exe and I just get a quick flash from the command prompt and that's all and when I open realmd.exe it just sits at a screen saying:

to stop.

Database: 127.0.0.1;3306;mangos;mangos;realmd
Added realm "MaNGOS".
realmd process priority class set to HIGH

It just sits at there screen forever, nowhere can I type myusername mypassword

Anyway, I've got a little problem... when I try to start up the server with the mangosd.exe it gives me the following error message:

Do I have like a later version of wow than the one that mangos supports or something like that? Please help :)

I tried following your step by step directions. It all worked up until I tried using the ad.exe. for some reason it just got to about 45% and would error out on me. Well I decided to go ahead on without the other 55% and see what happens. I did everything else your guide told me to do. But when I went to try and load mangosd.exe it would just blink up on the screen then off again. So I'm asking for a little bit of help. heres what my file says.

Hi im trying to create a wow classic server and have run into a problem. im trying to connect to it from other computers on my network and it gets stuck in a select realm loop. I had a look at your instructions and it says that im not using a compatible mangos/wow client but now i can't figure out which mangos to use and where to download it! I'm running WOW classic with version 1.12.1 and your advice on which mangos to use would be much appreciated. My Hotmail is hawkhead_94@hotmail.com

In fact, im seeing all of these .dbc errors or whatever, and its all from ppl posting after the sunwell patch was added, i think, maybe the thing isnt up to date?

Real nice guide // tho iv got a problem ... when i try to run realmd.exe and mangosd.exe realmd works just fine but mangosd opens and closes after a few seconds with this error:

3. Execute these commands (must be in order) :

mysql -u root -p -v -D mangos < rx-mangos-4488-silvermoon17-scriptdev134.sql

when i'm entering C:\Mangos\reaper-eazy-mangos it says that the system cannot find the path specified...the path where i extracted the archive is the same as your example so it would be easier...have any ideas what went wrong?maybe it would be best if you'd email me since i don't visit very often this site...thanks!

When i run Mangosd.exe/bat (whichever it is) it just opens and closes super fast, i dont know what ive done wrong.

I'm having trouble trying to log on.

I'm not sure when i'm meant to load realmd.exe and mangos.exe and then load Warcraft.

I've got the realm set up on port 9999

I'm not sure what i need to put the other port on (e.g. in the file mangosd) I'm also confused on which bits i edit in mangosd.

When i load Warcraft, I can log on, but when i do it says my server is offline.

I got it to work once but when i logged onto the realm, it said it was logging in and then it worked, then just kept trying to log into the realm. When it does, i can't create a new character.

I would really appreciate it if you could give me a step by step instructions on how to do this.
