Writing useful content usually comes more naturally when it’s a passion of yours. If you go after a certain niche, make sure it is something you have much knowledge about and you will be more successful.

I think its also important that you don't target just the "make money online" niche. A lot of people fall in this trap and don't realize how competitive it is, but their are lots of sub-niches within it that are profitable. lol actually you'll never know until you've tried it ;) .. but if you love to write about culinary and really passionate about it, that mean you should write about it rather than writing about anything else that doesn't interest you, just like Gina Trapatani said (#6) :)

Actually, I'm an IT Professional. But, I know I can't beat u if I start blog about IT stuff (u're the master) :D
But, as u show on Rule no.1 (write useful content), my culinary passion might be useful to raise some money (online) hehe..
