hey, man.. i tried your method and i somehow managed to play my ps2. but the problem is that whenever i play, it lags soo much.

i have windows vista home premium 64 bit with a 6gb ram and nvidia 9500 gs graphics card. my tv tuner card is happauge wintv hvr 1800.

by lags, i mean it doesn't run smoothly. please reply me bak. i have no tv and im dying to play my ps2

This is quite neat. Would it be possiable for someone to get some good quality screen shots of the Guitar Hero 2 notes and Frets? I need them for a Frets on Fire mod I am working on.

cant wait to try it, because i think my tv card is the same as yours (cant make it certain, cos i'm not at home at this moment).
is it okay to connect the ps2 without any graphic card? my graphic card burned out few months ago, my mobo was totally screwed, so i had to change to a crappy mobo, since my pc is an old system. and i dont have any money yet to buy a new graphic card.

Hey Reaper, what tv tuner did you use? I know some actually lag the input of the ps2 by a few seconds, which is definately not acceptable for gaming. I've done the research and there are just so many to choose from.

Are there any loose parts/connectors/adaptors and cables that I need to purchase? What TV tuner card would you suggest is the best to achieve the best visual experience? Oh and by the way please explain the sound thing also...how to achieve the best sound quality and how to connect my speakers, mwah thanx

I am having a problem and maybe you can help.
I have a modded PAL PS2.
Whenever i insert a PAL game i have no problems running it.
The problem ocours if i try to run a NTSC game.
The picture jumps alot and the colors are also not tuned.

using Dscaler on a WINTV-PVR 150..

damn with some fiddling around i fixed it, only question now is, how do i get the perfect picture or close to that and how much better is s-video than composite, btw i already have gamma on.

i am getting sound, but it is minimal at best through my speakers and headphones, and to make sure my line-in is full not muted and full blast.

ey, i might sound like a total noob, but i read your instructions, and am getting a picture but no sound. i plugged my y-connector in my blue socket of the sound card, and on the dscaler sound menu, i cant change anything, and on the status-bar it says volume mute, plz help. no sound and picture is pretty bad, i have a winfast dtv1000 t tuner card and nvidia gfx 5200, pretty shit.

Hey, I have a pinnacle tv tuner (external) with a mini usb input, in the package there was also an "adapter" from mini usb to S-video, composite and sound. My only problem is that I can't find a Y-connector anywhere... anyone know of an online store or something that has it and can deliver it to Norway?
