Steve Ballmer blames software pirates

The shy and retiring, softly-spoken CEO of Microsoft, Steve Ballmer is blaming software pirates for Vista's poor sales.
He also admitted to financial analysts that the predictions for Vista had proved 'overly optimistic' and he blamed the pirates in China, India, Brazil, Russia and other emerging markets. (full story) found via The Inquirer
Personally i think, Vista poor sales is not caused by software pirates .. but the extremely high requirements of Windows Vista itself, programs compatibility issues, device drivers, hardware, etc .. but the most important thing for me is programs compatibility, device drivers and the Vista prices itself (the Vista Ultimate version costs for about $393 here)
Although various hardware manufacturers already updated their drivers section, but not everyone knows how to install / update device drivers especially to those who’s not a tech savvy. Other than that, there’s no update to those who still using old hardware in their computer (a good example is me, im still using the old NForce 2 motherboard type, old tv tuner, etc)
And of course don’t tell me to use Windows Vista generic driver (if there’s any) because generic driver doesn't offer full performance to your system
