Wordpress 2.1 Released and ..

By upgrading into Wordpress 2.1, this site experience a downtime for about 1 hour or so .. but don't worry because it's not caused by the Wordpress software itself .. because the real culprit behind this problem is no other than my own isp … because if there’s no problem with my internet connection, i could finished everything in short time (and to make it worse i haven't downloaded any backup because of the above reason, so there’s no way i can turn back now)

And what makes the upgrade process longer than it should is that because i have to upload everything from cpanel. Because if i'm using ftp connection, i always get timeout error message (and that means i have to upload each file one by one) .. and thanks to this problem, there’s some files that haven't been uploaded yet (i only uploaded the core files because it's troublesome to upload each file one by one using cpanel)

As for now, i'm still checking everything to make sure there’s no other error left because of this upgrade process (and actually i already found several problem caused by some plugins such as Search Everything – it’s showing duplicate pages if this plugin activated – and some other plugins as well)

So if you see an error message somewhere, please be kind and report it to me .. so i can fix it right away :-) … thanks a lot and i apologize for any inconvenience caused by this problem

As a note, i'm connecting through australian proxies (million thanks to them) because if i'm not using proxy .. well .. i can't even browse my own site because of extremely slow speed :-(

Have you tried messing with the passive mode setting in your FTP client to see if transfers still timeout?
