when i try running the need for speed carbon i get a black screen and then an error saying windows encoutered from a serious prob my system configuration is core 2 duou 2.93 Ghz 256Mb On board graphics and a ram of 4 gb but i always get a black screen and am back to widows please suggest a solution

I am having a problem with nfsc i am having the crash to the desktop problem But its bizzare because, I had a older computer (xp) that should’nt of been able to play nfsc, but it worked, Horribly though but it didnt crash! My new computer is windows xp they both have around 3.3ghz of processing power but the newer one has a better graphics card and has more ram installed. the newer one crashed even when the settings were on low it was crazy first time i started it it crashed at the time were the chick says DON’T NOT STREET RACE OBEY THe bla bla bla! its pissing me off because it crashs RANDOMLY one time it didnt crash at all then, the next time i boot it up it crashes when i am loading my profile next, when I select my shelby mustang!, Next when a cop rams me from the side! (kinda thankful for that crash…..) its really annoying at times it feels like i cant play the game because it crashes! My verison of nsfc is 1.4 not enless they have a 1.5 patch out i dont think i do anything!

im finding the same problem. I win a boss race, then just as I hit enter to leave the chat screen from the new wingman, it crashes to desktop. It used to run fine, even on this pc, but after the computer was off for a month it just kept having this problem. My specs are

Vista with Intel Core2 Dou E4700 2.6 GHz
4gig ram
32 bit
NX8400GS

This game ran just fine on an older pc that was XP, but wont run on my laptop. any help would be great. Also, the online content wont work.

Guys, I had a crash to desktop problem with my ‘nfs underground 2′ and ‘most wanted’, but only when I run it in high graphic settings. At low settings, I don’t find any crash problem. MAYBE, racing games like nfs need a graphics card with high memory bandwidth, like 8800 GT. Try running it at lower details, NOT lower resolutions (like mine works good at 1280×960, with low details). Try it out and let me know……….

I have little diffrent problem but maybe is the same. The game normally work , install but there is one point on Angie terytory , where when I drive it crashing me to desktop. I can’t past this level. I try manual copy my files , but still not working . I install it in another computer a not much worst from mine, but there work correct. Do you know maybe somethingg? I installed all patches , try to CPU 0 and still crashed.

My Nfs Carbon is also crashing to desktop , specially at Angies zone ,I tried to respray the car and change the parts , and it worked , but I had a problem with my save game, now I can’t make the car like before and I have again problems running the game! My Game is 1.2 version and sometimes it also crashes when I’m changing the parts, buying a car or starting the game! I tried with patches and it didn’t worked , now I’m trying with the CPU 0 affinity to see if it works !!! If I have a solution , I will tell U about it !!!
