Google Earth locate my home
By Reaper-X on Dec 11, 2006 in Freeware, Google, Internet Tools, Linux, Software, Windows
I was amazed that Google Earth were able to take a screenshot of the area near where i live right now (if you’re from Europe and United States .. chances are you’ve already located your own house) ! Although it does hard to find it at the first time because i never saw anything from the sky like google do :P .. fortunately i was able to find some coordinate which is located not far from my location and that is Depo Bangunan and Hero Kalimalang :D
And as you can see, the left picture is Sumber Arta Traditional Marketplace which is located not far from my house (well i dont think it's good to post your address on the internet) .. hehehe .. Now how about you ? did you manage to find your own house or you favorite location using Google Earth ? I’m pretty sure you can find it easily ;)
As a note, if you’re interested on using Google Earth, here’s the minimum computer configuration :
- Operating System: Windows 2000 or Windows XP
- CPU: Pentium 3, 500Mhz
- System Memory (RAM): 128MB
- Hard Disk: 400MB free space
- Network Speed: 128 Kbits/sec
- Graphics Card: 3D-capable with 16MB of VRAM
- Screen: 1024x768, "16-bit High Color"
