Telkom Speedy, CPanel and FTP

Yet another great feature from Telkom Speedy Indonesia for creating another amazing feature for their customer so they can’t access CPanel, FTP and many other standard web features (except for CPanel which is not a standard). And it has been over one week since i experience this problem. And thanks to this problem, i can’t fully manage this site .. other than that, i also write about FTP Problem on my host before. And i’m so ashamed because the real culprit is not my webhosting company but my own isp …

So for those who’s using Telkom Speedy as their internet access provider and can’t access FTP, CPanel or other web services such as IRC, etc .. the temporary solution is using proxy although it’s not a good idea (at least you can backup your precious database information from your webhosting if you’re interested on opening your CPanel account using proxy) .. hopefully they can fix this soon (although i doubt that’ll be happening real soon)

Update : I just found out in order to connect to FTP server i must use PORT mode not PASV mode again (maybe Telkom changed their configuration and not allowing PASV mode to connect to FTP Server)
