What is blog actually ?

I’m confused about the blogging terms itself, because like most of you already knew that blog is just a personal website that can be found on various website free hosting provider such as geocities and tripod. And i think you’ve already knew that personal website can be used as your personal diary, daily journal or anything you want. With the exception back then if you want to update your site, you’ll have to reupload everything not just create some new post and you can see it right away like now.

But if blogging is easy how come there’s various blogging tutorial, blogging tips, blogging how to, or book ? Do you really need to learn about blogging ? Because if it's for me blogging is just putting anything you want on your website, with the exception if you want to make profit from it, you’ll have to create your own article that someone will find it useful. Not just a copy paste trick .. unless you want to get trouble in the future because of your action

I don't mean anything bad to those who give blogging tutorials and such stuff, because i already knew that blogging / blog is just a marketing gimmick (Quoted from Jeremy Wright, President of B5Media)

Blogs are a great marketing gimmick, so I should catch the buzz wave and contrive one.

See ?? even president of the famous blogging network said so :P .. and the conclusion is if you can write anything you want, put anything you want on your website. Do you really need to get a tutorial on how to write it ? other than setting up your own webhosting or your server (but i’m not talking about server configuration here) ;)
