Hostgator Problem ..

It seems my previous post about FTP Problem and CPanel on my Hostgator account still hasn’t been fixed, and because i remember previously i had the same problem but at that time i was experiencing connection lost to my own server, but when i try to use proxy to connect to my site … i can see it without problem at all … (but it was several month ago if i'm not wrong) .. and at that time i told them about this too

So this time i tried to use the same trick like before to connect to my own Control Panel and FTP server, and surprisingly i can connect without problem at all ! but i can only connect to it only if i hide my own ip address by using proxy and of course it's bothering me because it was an open proxies. So this time i contact hostgator again and give them update on this matter (although i’ve already closed this case but im always curious about it especially if i can't backup my database because i don't have SSH access)

The conclusion is … im still waiting their reply regarding this matter and hopefully everything can be fixed … ;) … so a note to everyone who’s using Hostgator and experiencing problem like this, try using proxy to connect into your host and see if it's fix the problem or not. If it does fix the problem .. then you should contact hostgator staff to let them know about the issue so they can fix it :D

Very Disappointed With HostGator | Mar 27, 2007 at 7:03 / 7:03 AM | Links to this comments | Reply

These guys at HostGator wasted 5 days of my time and still did not get the server working 100%

Hate to dis a company but either the support and tech are over worked or just don't give a sh*t.

The reason for the comment is that anyone who reads this might want to check out some other companies so they dont have to go through what I did.

By the way, in the time it took them to process the cancellation I had another fully functional server with another company.
