PCSX2 0.9.2 Available

Hey .. i didn’t know PCSX2 0.9.2 has been released, well because i just know about this today (actually when i posted about this) .. i think i’m going to download it and play around with the new version :D as a side note, they also said that there’s available another new release of pcsx2 0.9.2 R2 and for those who’s already using the first release of pcsx 0.9.2 series should update into the R2 version. And here’s some more information about the new R2 version from their page :
- Compatibility regression with Vampire Night resolved.
- Final Fantasy X now works for most regions.
- Fixes Crash when using config>patches
- Frame Limiting is now more accurate.
- Improved zeroGS, Disgaea 2 menus are now solid.
- P.E.Op.S SPU2 updated to include threaded mode (usefull for video recording).
- Screen Saver / Power Saving now disabled when running PCSX2.

Well hello Mr Reaper-X, i just downloaded the PCSX2 0.9.1.. is that the old one? i too have nothing in my bios which it complains about ALOT :P i was wondering if you could send me an E-mail with the stuff that’s needed to make it run ok?

You would’nt be able to email me with “clues” as to where I could aquire those BIOS files too, could you? It would be much appreciated.
have you tried running pcsx2t.exe instead of pcsx2.exe if you’re getting failed to allocate memory ?
btw if you’re getting message bios not found, then that means you’ll need a bios first in order to use it :)
hi,i want to run driv3r and desert storm2 on pcsx2 when i tried to run it says: could not load file.failed to allocate physical memory to run pcsx2.i close all background programmes and i rebooted my system .then also they are showing the error.my pc has 512MB RAM ,148GB hard disc space and graphics card[video card]of 256MB [NVIDIA G-FORCE].they also telling that could not load bios etc.i dont know what to do .may u help me with that!please please please please please pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Yes, im getting that message too but i was able to run it without problem :-) .. (im sure there’s other error message especially involving pixel shader or such stuff) .. try looking at the other error message ;-)
I’m constantly trying to do it but it still says I need rom2 and erom. I read earlier that you didn’t need these. Is this true? How do I get past this?

i get my game final fantasy 12 to run but the words in cenamatic are upside down and i can’t make out the words

hey guys after so many trials i found out that the zero gs kosmos version 0.96 is the current stable graphics plugin for pcsx2…..it has a considerable improved frame rate as compared to zerogs kosmos 0.93…try this plugin only if ur graphics card has pixel shader 2 support. this brings out another fact that we’ve got to wait till the best graphics plugin’s released to enjoy game play higher than the 20fps margin like how open gl and pete d3d did it for all psx emulators!! well this is my own view and would appreciate related comments

Yeah .. but dont worry about it, i think in the future there’ll be more games that is fully playable under pcsx2
ooh yeah .. maybe you should try submitting your test result in pcsx2 homepage (under compatibility pages) :)
I think you are right..my fps shrunk from 50 to 15 fps while i tried to play wwe smackdown 2006.. i think i’ll wait for newer release…
I assume you’re running your games from ISO (Virtual CD), well if you already tried that and still experiencing low frame rate, try playing Final Fantasy X first (if you have it) and see if you still getting the low frame rate issue or not (because FFX is the most supported games on pcsx2)
btw if you’re not experiencing frame rate problem while testing FFX on pcsx2, then the only thing you can do is just waiting for the next pcsx2 release :) (for example all ps2 dragon ball games on the current version of pcsx2 are playable, but cant go any higher than 20FPS)
thanks…, i disabled antialiasing and ran on zerogs, but still game run ’s very slow.But i feel there must be a way to increase the speed..right?or is there anything more to download like patches, extra plugins….i’m using pete.op.s cdvd driver to run the images as well for dvd drive….I really wish to resolve this out!
have you tried to disable antialiasing in ZeroGS configuration ? btw if its for you there’s no need to use GSDX anymore since you’re using a ps 2.0 compatible card ;)
i never experienced any instances of crashing for several games i checked on zero gs or gsdx9 ..only the very slow speed’s really disappointing despite great graphics..is it anything related to my cdvd plugin if so which is the greatest plugin for running images in mds formats.
i had downloaded all the plugins and bios pack for pcsx2 and i’m using scph39001.bin currently as bios. when i’m trying to load a game it starts and runs with great graphics but really slow during movie run as well as game play and sound is distorted. my machine is actually a laptop with nvidia geforce 6600 (8 pixel shader/4 vertex shaders ) graphics card and running on 2.16ghz intel dual core and 1024 mb ram. i had already played smoothly pc versions of the games like pop :the two thrones and WWf smackdown 2006… but can’t run the ps2 dvds on this emulator. tell me what’s wrong
Well its a graphic plugin for pcsx2 (its already included by default) so maybe you can try using that graphic plugin first before using the ZeroGS :)

and yes Radeon Xpress 200 support ps 2.0 and vs 2.0 but maybe you should try using th GSDX first and see if its fixes the problem .. or just send me a screenshot ;)
Yeah thanx for the Bios man, still doesn’t work, it still says “cannot find bios:\bios” PCSX2 can’t run without that and now it shows the error opening GS plugin too which is wierd considering my Xpress 200 supports PS 2.0 and VS 2.0 hmmm. I think i might have solved problem though, i have the older 0.9.2 version not the newer one so I’m gonna try that one, but do help me on this wierd bios thing, with Reaper’s new file It still shows that bios thing so hmm

Does anyone know the name of the bios file needed to run pcsx2? I have sch1000 in the bios folder, but it won’t read it. Thx!

What is your computer spec ? as for rom2 and erom not found message just ignore it because i can run game even with that message displayed ;)
as for SSE3 … that means your computer processor doesnt support SSE3 instruction ..

Are you sure you’ve placed the correct bios in your pcsx2 bios directory ? (note: if its a compressed archive make sure to extract it first because some people think they can just placed it right away without extracting it first) ;)
btw if you’re using ATI Express 200 as your vga card, i dont think you can get desirable performance from pcsx2 eventhough it has built in support for Vertex shader 2 and pixel shader 2 :(
Help me plz, when I tried launching it, it keeps saying “cannot find ‘bios/; in Bios” need it to run, and I have the files scph39001.NVM, scph39001.MEC, scph39001.bin, and scph10000.bin so help me. Btw my laptop has 2.1Ghz AMD athlon, and 900MB of RAM and 256RAM of ATI Xpress 200 is that good enough to run it? help me plz!!!

Sorry but i dont have the 3004R :( but .. have you tried extracting it first ? you cant just copy it directly without extracting it first :) .. btw it works fine without the 3004R :D .. btw you can safely ignore that not found message
