How many Blog Ping Service you’re using ?

For some people, they use various ping list so they can make sure their blog update goes to various website, to let them know you’ve update your blog. Even some of them are using more than 15 update services at once. But is it necessary to put huge ping list into your Update Services tab ? Well … if it’s for me i’m only using 10 Update Services, because i don’t like to wait for 30 seconds when i posted something new on my blog … and here’s the list :

Yup .. that’s all .. and why i didn’t use automatic service that can ping a lot of update services at once such as Pingomatic ? the answer is simple, sometime pingomatic is not reliable, and that means although you’ve ping it .. your ping won’t reach other ping service, for example Technorati, etc .. that’s why i decided to use each services RPC address (although there’s delay on every new post .. but it’s worth waiting)

We are trying to build traffic to the blog, so we ping LOTS of services (ahh…50 – yikes). Yes, you are right – it does make it slow :(. Hopefully, as we build subscribers to the feed (feedburner) and get some consistant traffic, we can stop pinging all those services – maybe someday :). Nice post!

Hohoho…I just ping manually using pingomatic coz i still don’t know how to make XMLRPC script to my blog.Do you know how to make xmlrpc script in order to my newest article can ping automatically to blog seacrh engine like technorati, googleblog etc.

I’m still confuse to make this script in order to work in my blog coz I don’t use blogmachine just like Wordpress or movabletype, but i make it self :(
