Technorati, is it really bring traffic to your site ?

Almost everyone who gives a tips on blogging / getting traffic to your site always said Technorati is a good way to get traffic / visitors for your blog … although i didn't know if Technorati is the biggest source of their traffic (unless i can see their server logs of course).

Personally i don't really care about technorati. Because search engine is the only traffic i get, although few of them came from technorati .. wait .. not few .. but 1 / 2 / 3 of them are came through technorati tag searching feature. And that’s only happening once / twice in a week or two.

I don't know anything about Technorati in the past, because as you already see that i’ve just started blogging few months ago and of course the first place i started this blog is at Wordpress.com until i moved to my own host using this domain name at August

Maybe Technorati is good in the past .. but now ? I don’t think you can get good traffic from it. Because it’s already full of blogs from all over the world, other than that .. not everyone know about Technorati, and most of them are blogger too just like yourself. But for normal people, who’s trying to search something on the internet are they going to use Technorati search function ? I don't think so …

And the conclusion is (based on my opinion of course) … the only useful thing i know that’s exist on Technorati is their Blog Ranking function (although it’s not accurate and for fun only). So instead of trying to get traffic from Technorati which is almost impossible, just make sure your site already indexed by major search engine because that’s the only place you’ll get your site good traffic.
