Speed Linking or Your Own Content

Every blogger already know about linking from his blog into another blog, and although it’s nice to have someone link to your article. But does it necessary to link it countless times, even if you’re not commenting about that article on your own site ?

I agree with the idea of linking into the original source, but if i write the content not based from other website, is it necessary for me to link into it ? even if i have to search for it first ?

Okay i’m going to give an example. First you are creating a how to guide because you know about that stuff. Then is it necessary for you to search for similar article and link to it ? i don’t think so.

And now for the second example, you’re seeing something interesting from another weblog, and you link into it by simply saying i found a good site / interesting article / etc .. heh .. that doesn’t make any sense at all .. you should look for other popular blog and see what they’re doing with their link

As for the third example, Blog A (Original Content) <= Blog B (linking to A) <= Blog C (you) only linking to B .. now lets say for example you’re not C but Z. How many times did you get to the original article ? .. although only a stupid person will do these kind of link which result in and endless loop :D

And the conclusion is, if it’s for me i’d rather writing my own content rather than putting something like here’s a nice guide to …. [ Insert anything you want here ] … and link to some other article ..
