How come new software keep getting bigger

Intervideo WinDVD 8 has been released to public a while ago and i’ve been thinking on getting it (i mean the trial version of course) ;) .. but after seeing that the trial version file size is 115 Mb, i don’t know if i should download it or not.
Because until now i only use WinDVD decoder combined with Cyberlink PowerDVD decoder to be used on Zoom Player to watch my dvd movie collection (not my own collection actually because my sister is the one who bought it)… and i’m just wondering how come every time there’s a new software release the file size keep getting bigger and bigger ? is it just me or did everyone else feel the same way too ?
