I believes its not automatically delete the expired cached (but i could be wrong) .. although if its for me, i never deleted any cached object because the cache file is small :-)

or maybe you could try using the Wordpress Cache Inspect plugin to check / clean up the cached object (as a note im using it here)

Does setting the cache expiration time delete the defunct cache files?
