Windows Live Writer

I just downloaded the Windows Live Writer weblog client to use in my blogs here, and it seems that this weblog client offer some neat features other than the standard WYSIWYG offered by many other weblog client. Although it's still in beta stage but you can use Windows Live Writer to publish into your blog easily without problem. And here's some screeshot on what this weblog client looks taken directly when i wrote this post :

Windows Live Writer

The previous screenshot was showing when i wrote this post in Web Layout Mode and the Windows Live Writer succesfully duplicate my stylesheet so it'll looks exactly right when people see my post at my website

Windows Live Writer

And the above screenshot is showing the standard WYSIWYG mode, as for the other mode you can edit the sourcecode manually which most people prefer when you want to write some HTML tag that the weblog client doesn't support. Other than that Windows Live Writer also support uploading the image files using FTP like other weblog client, so there's no need to worry about image support in Windows Live Writer

Unfortunately, if you have lots of categories on your blog, not all categories can be displayed. (at least for me on my old monitor using 1024x768 screen resolution). The downside from Windows Live Writer is, if you use it to upload image, it’ll create a subdirectory automatically and put the image in that subdirectory.

Despite the lack of most functionality like acronym, more tag for wordpress, etc. This weblog client already show some good interface that's good for beginner or expert alike. So i'll be looking forward to the future version of this Windows Live Writer
