As a blogger the most important thing to me is the security of my blog. Therefore it seems to me sacrificing security for speed is just plain dumb. But I suppose if all a blogger is posting is youtubes and stuff lifted from other sites without doing any actual research and writing of their own then security wouldn't be that important.
