pSX emulator another free playstation emulator

For those who didn't know there was another great Playstation / PSX Emulator named PSX Emulator, and much simpler than ePSXe (although that's depends on the users itself) ;) since this PSX Emulator doesnt use plugins system like ePSXe. So most users will find this emulator easy to use.
Although this emulator didn’t use plugins system based on PSEMU, this emulator can play almost all commercial playstation games out there, for example the most Popular RPG like Final Fantasy series, Chrono Cross, etc. And has high compatibility for another games.

Hello. I downloaded the psx 1.7 (rar file) and open it with the winrar. After i open the file, it says that theres an error (1) occured. Then again it says the file unfortunately corrupted. How is this? ...Thank you
try redownloading the file because i dont get any error message when running it, and don't forget one thing that you'll need psx bios first (SCPH1001.BIN) in order to use this software, you can contact me for more info about this (check the contact page) ;)
or try download the latest DirectX Updates from http://www.toymaker.info/Games/html/d3dx_dlls.html

if you want to cheat on Psx Emulator program (not ePSXe) you'll need to use a memory editor /searcher program, you can read about that in here : http://www.reaper-x.com/2006/07/30/do-it-yourself-game-hacking.htm
i am just need the bios for my pcsx2. gimme the bios plzzz.
2nd : i really wanna play the ace combat zero : the belkan war through emulator , gimme some hack instuctions or another alternative emulator.

um .. if you can boot FFX or FFX2 that means you already have the bios :?
hey i downloaded d3dx9_26.dll then when i tried to open the DXSETUP.exe it says unable to find dsetup.dll what do i do now?

So I've DL'd the emulator, I've got the BIOS scph1001.bin and it works. Now, what I don't understand (because I'm an emulator noob) is if this emulator only plays actual PS game discs? Do I download games? Do I just pop my PS games right into my drive and run the thing? If I can DL games (like FF7 and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night) can I play them off this emulator? And how? Where can I find these games?

is there any way i can transfer my ePSXe memory cards to pSX. Because i'm halfway through ff8 and i'd hate to start again!

Im new to the whole emulator thing also, and my main problem is i dont even know where or how to get a memory card... and im halfway through FF8 and i am not looking forward to having to do it again... any help?

im sure its related to pcsx2. btw the default filesize for patches/default.xml is 0 bytes that means there's nothing in it

depending on which emulator you use to play PSX games, if its for me im using ePSXe and i can freely create new memory card anytime i want without problem
also if the emulator you're using has the savestate features, you should try using it
savestate are the most useful features on emulator (thats why i love emu) because you can save or load your game anytime / anywhere you want even when fighting boss

zack Taikoz sounds like you are trying to play ps2 games on a ps1 emulator. Well I am not too sure if you can do this... I will try when the download completes.

I don't know if anyone will respond to this but I recently made ISO images of The Legend Of Dragoon all 4 discs. However, when I go to play them on my psx an indecifferable error screen appears with a big red "no" symbol and the only thing I can think of that would be a problem is that the game is NTSC U/C DESIGNATION game. I don't know if anyone knows how to fix this but I have heard that this game rocks. Thank you.
Oh yeah! It also does that on the discs themselves.

Actually the default.xml file is blank, i'm sure the error was caused by something else, try checking the log files inside pcsx2 directory

I did the research and apparently its copywrite protected but it does the same thing when I play the disk. So I'm scratching my head on this one.

It was working fine for a while when i was playing final fantasy 7.
now im about 3/4 hours in and as soon as i move for more than 5 seconds (give or take) after loading my save state it goes really slow and jiggy and the bios box reports the error message 'read without driver' :S
what do i do?

im using an actual copy of star ocean 2 in my pc on the emulator but the problem lies in the memory card file,there isnt one! how do i get the mem card?

i just played grandia cd1... when i finished cd 1 i must save game in a memory card it says and i have always used F6 on keyboard to save my game before... and i tried to make a memory card but i dont get it working...

Not much of an improovment. All I get with espxe is a black screen...I don't get it. Am I using the wrong bios or something? Help if you can and thank you in advance.
This actually works almost flawlessly. Other Emulators have enormous lag, this just slighty audioscratches. I can finally stop my hunt for nostalgia and play Medievil or Hogs of War whenever i wish.
I downloaded emulator, opened it with Winrar trial, went back to emulatorsite to get the dll thing (was it directX, I had bios from some site and transferred it to biosfolder. Voilá. Saving works too.
If i just could find similiar N64 emulator. Maybe Xbox too, later.
Hi ppl, can anyone tell me how to run Star ocean 3 on Emu?? i have everything, mount image and wen i press run CD/DVD the EMU starts but it goes to the system and not the game anyone knows what the problem is?? Sry for my bad english its not my primary language. cya all
Doom,u have black screen prob on epsxe?i think the game u try to play is incompatitble with epsxe.check the faq on http://www.epsxe.com.also,use latest version of plugins.

i actually had a friend send me my bios, as well as my ps2 bios, i cant remember where i got them :/ but the name for the ps2 bios is SCPH39001.BIN if you have a torrent you can get it easy, just type SCPH39001.BIN in google and you'll find it
and doom, i got that problem when i was using the wrong bios, are you using scph1001.bin ?
i use epsxe and psxfin and they both work wonders. sometimes one emulator will have problems running a game so i switch emulators and you can still use the game saves from the other emulators on the other one :)

PLEASE HELP i try using the epsxe emulator and I downloaded plugins and bios but when i try to run it it says that this file zlibl.dll is missing and i tried instaling it 5 times and nothing. PLEASE HELP
just google the exact file u need and DL it and extract in the folder u put the emu, worked for me
